Almost 30 years ago, Yamaha presented the world's first series eBike. The original Yamaha PAS was originally intended for commuting and shopping. It was a revolutionary new concept that will go down in history as the spark that sparked the entire eBike movement. MORO 07, WABASH RT and CROSSCORE RC: Three new Yamaha e-bikes for 2022

One of the most exciting new chapters in Yamaha history comes with the unveiling of three highly anticipated new e-bikes for 2022, spanning MTB, Gravel and Urban. The company's experience in producing e-bikes and compact drivetrains is second to none and the new Yamaha offering has been developed holistically with the PW series drive units and is infused with the company's dynamic DNA.

The Moro 07, Wabash RT and CrossCore RC cater to a wide range of riders, from those who already own Yamaha motorcycles and scooters and appreciate the strong brand values, to those looking for a good value for money in combination with proven technology. Yamaha MORO 07: Driving without limits

The Moro 07 is Yamaha's premium eMTB with a unique design, dual twin frame and high-torque PW-X3 drivetrain engineered for smooth yet powerful performance on the mountainous single tracks.

Spontaneous performance development

The new generation PW-X3 is Yamaha's smallest, lightest and most powerful drive unit, weighing just 2,75kg and has an ultra-compact design that offers a narrow Q-factor that allows the rider to achieve the best possible performance. A key feature of the PW-X3 is Zero Cadence technology, which provides instantaneous power delivery at the slightest pedal stroke, giving the rider real advantages in the tightest of situations. With an output of 85 Nm, this class-leading drive unit offers an excellent torque-to-weight ratio and delivers high power at high cadence for strong performance on extreme inclines and in sandy or muddy terrain.

A key feature of the Moro 07 is the light feel that the PW-X3 drive gives at speeds over 25 km/h. This has been achieved through the use of newly developed gears and freewheels that reduce mechanical loss and provide a natural and responsive feel when pedaling at higher speeds.

Unique dual twin frame

This high-quality eMTB was developed to offer excellent all-round handling, enabling the rider to take on new challenges on the most difficult terrain - from technical singletrack to fast forest trails. A key feature is the unique dual aluminum frame with two top and bottom tubes, which ensure a finely tuned balance of stiffness and thus offer superior chassis handling with lots of feedback from the track and a precise driving experience.

The dual twin frame of the Moro 07 was developed together with the PW-X3 drive, making it the first holistically developed premium eMTB. The compact dimensions and low weight of the drive have enabled the Yamaha engineers to achieve ideal frame dimensions, in particular excellent ground clearance and a compact wheelbase for more agility.

The small size of the PW-X3 also enabled the development of an innovative, new rear suspension with 150 mm travel and RockShox Super Deluxe Select + shock absorber mounted between the two top tubes. The RockShox LYRIK SELECT Charger fork offers 160mm of travel for a confident ride in the front and the 27,5 x 2,6 inch Maxxis tires provide the necessary traction and flex for an effective ride with a high level of feedback off the track. The Magura MT5 brakes offer sensitive braking power and the Shimano XT 1×12 premium rear derailleur ensures smooth shifting and effective propulsion.

Interface X with smartphone connectivity

The stem-mounted Yamaha Interface X offers a clean cockpit handlebar area and has ergonomic buttons for assist selection, as well as a colour-coded indicator for assist mode and the charge level of the integrated Yamaha 500 Wh battery. Bluetooth® Low Energy technology enables smartphone connectivity via compatible apps and the Interface X is compatible with many bike computer brands.
