Yamaha presents stylish urban e-bikes: Booster & Booster Easy!

Yamaha has introduced two new electric bikes for the European market: the Booster Easy, a classic pedelec, and the Booster, an S-Pedelec that can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h. These e-bikes were developed in Europe and will soon be available in European cities. The models will be offered in Cyan Solid Aqua and Tech Graphite colors, but the manufacturer hasn't revealed availability or pricing yet. The Yamaha Booster Easy should be particularly interesting for the general public. This pedelec offers electric pedal assistance up to 25 km/h and is driven by the in-house premium Yamaha PW S2 drive unit with 75 Nm torque. The mid-engine is very quiet and weighs only 2,85 kg.

Since the down tube of the honeycomb die-cast aluminum front frame has no space for the battery, it was attached to the seat tube. The removable battery has a capacity of 630 Wh and, according to the manufacturer, enables a range of 60 to 120 km, depending on the selected operating mode.

A 1,7-inch LC display on the handlebar shows the remaining battery capacity, the speedometer, the support mode, a trip meter, total mileage counter and the range. The drive can be switched off in zero mode to use only your own pedal power or to save energy. Another practical function is the pushing aid. The e-bike has an exceptional design and high-quality equipment, including 20 x 4 inch thick balloon tires, Promax disc brakes with a diameter of 180 mm, a Supernova M99 Mini Pure headlight, a Koso LED rear light and a versatile rear luggage rack. Also striking are the fork covers, a front fairing and front fender developed by Yamaha.

The S-Pedelec Yamaha Booster has a lot in common with the slower variant Booster Easy, but has some exclusive features. The e-bike, classified as a moped (L1e), is powered by the premium Yamaha PW S45 2 drive unit, which supports up to 45 km/h. The battery also has a capacity of 630 Wh, resulting in a range of 50 to 110 km depending on the mode selected. Yamaha equips the Booster model with a 2,8-inch color TFT display that, in addition to the information from the Easy model, also shows the time, route length, cadence, calorie consumption and riding time. A horn, controls on the left handlebar grip and a license plate holder are also part of the Yamaha Booster's equipment.

perfect for the urban space

With the Booster and Booster Easy, Yamaha is presenting two e-bikes that are perfect for urban areas. With their innovative design and high-quality equipment, they will certainly be an attractive option for those looking for an environmentally friendly and comfortable way to get around the city. Both models were specially developed for the European market and should be available in the near future.

It remains to be seen what the exact prices and availability of the two e-bikes will be, but Yamaha has already proven that they can successfully enter the electric bike market with their previous models such as the Neo electric scooter, Moro 07, Wabash RT and Crosscore RC. The launch of the Booster and Booster Easy will no doubt help broaden Yamaha's offering in the urban e-bike segment while further enriching the European market.

Demand for e-bikes will continue to increase

With the growing importance of eco-friendly modes of transport and increasing congestion in cities, it is likely that demand for e-bikes such as the Yamaha Booster and Booster Easy will continue to grow. With their combination of design, functionality and performance, these two models are able to meet the needs of a wide range of users while accommodating the growing demands for green mobility. Yamaha has certainly created a compelling offering for the European market with these two new e-bikes.
