After tuner in February this year Lumma already a first Preview of the CLR G770 (W463) has given it is now the Mercedes Traditionstuner Brabus the first one real Project based on the new 2018 W463 "G" (G-Class IV W463A / W464) presented. With regard to the available increase in performance, the modifications initially include the four-liter, eight-cylinder biturbo of the G310 (M 422 DE 500 AL) with an ex works 176 kW / 40 PS, but it is highly likely that the top model G63 AMG (M 177 DE 40 AL ) a corresponding upgrade will follow soon. For the "little" G, Brabus has developed the BRABUS B40 - 500 PowerXtra performance kit that is built in plug-and-play technology.
The result is 58 kW / 78 PS & 100 Nm more so that 368 kW / 500 PS at 5.600 rpm and a maximum torque of 710 Nm are constantly available between 2.250 and 4.250 tours. Enough power to accelerate to 5,7 km / h in just 100 seconds and to reach an electronically governed top speed of 210 km / h. So that the hefty increase in performance is also audible, there is an in-house stainless steel sports exhaust system with flap control and two chrome tailpipes on each side of the vehicle that exhaust the soundscape of the V8 thanks to active sound management with discreet "Coming Home" mode or the selectable sports position.

And of course there are some changes to the look. For example, Brabus developed a stylish front apron attachment for the series bumpers, with LED position lights integrated on the left and right. To match this, the tuner from Bottrop has installed a tailor-made radiator grille with a BRABUS logo in addition to the BRABUS double B in the center. Like the round BRABUS signets on both sides of the front apron, the lettering lights up when the driver approaches the SUV or by pulling a door handle blue.
Another detail of the lighting concept for the new G-Class is the auxiliary headlamp attachment with 2 x 12 High Performance LEDs over the windshield, which is completely encased with visible carbon. Like all optional components, it is also possible to choose from high-gloss or matt surface sealing. Highlight on the modified front is in our opinion but definitely the huge bonnet attachment which improves not only a brute look but also the ventilation of the engine compartment. And also on the rear view, something has been done because here there is a special rear wing which makes the rear view even more distinctive and of course has a Brabus badge.
Almost traditionally, a Mercedes modified by Brabus also requires a new wheelset. There are specially designed BRABUS monoblock rims in different designs and sizes from 20 to 23 inches for the new G-Class. The most exclusive option would be the BRABUS "PLATINUM EDITION" forged wheels that perfectly fill the wheel arches in huge 11 × 23 inch dimensions. This variant is equipped with high-performance tires in the 305 / 35 R 23 format, which come from the technology partners Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA. And as always, the interior can be completely modified on request.
Brabus starts with exclusive accessories such as aluminum pedals or door sills with illuminated logo for the passenger cabin and the boot. On request, the in-house saddlery also refines by means of BRABUS fine leather interiors made of mastic leather and Alcantara the complete cabin. Color and design can be selected as desired and the same applies to various precious wood and carbon elements. Technical details that make the G-Class a rolling cinema or office are another specialty of Brabus and, of course, also available. Like one BRABUS fine leather interior looks out this copy shows us. A brand new Mercedes G, this time even an AMG G63 model year 2019, was a guest in Bottrop and received a handmade individual interior in the flashy blue. And everything was colored in perfection with a snow-white seam in the diamond design. The entire dashboard is covered, the headliner, every millimeter in the footwell and of course the center console. It continues with the seats and even the steering wheel.
In addition, the steering wheel got high-quality matte carbon inserts missed which are also found in other places in the interior. In addition, a lot of aluminum is installed and the pedals are in a classy aluminum look. Rounding out the transformation inside with embroidered Brabus Badgets in the headrests. Brabus published the pictures as heralds for the planned Brabus G63 AMG of the new model series. We expect a presentation in the next weeks. WOW!
