The brand new 2020 Ford Explorer has only just landed at dealerships and the first tuners are already tinkering with it. This high-performance Explorer ST was modified by the company "5 Star Tuning" and the result is an impressive 513 hp from the 3,0-liter V6 with BiTurbo technology. The 3,0 liter EcoBoost V6 delivers exactly 400 PS and 560 NM torque with 93 octane fuel ex works. The guys from 5 Star Tuning install new engine software and mix in E50 fuel. It is basically a 50/50 mixture of 93 octane and E85 / ethanol.
The octane number increases and the normal fuel pump can handle this without any problems. Measured by the wheels, the Explorer now brings strong 412 PS to light, which means that there has been an increase of 310 PS compared to the 102 PS of the series. And also for the 2019 Ford Expedition, the tuner already has a performance upgrade at the start. This is converted to 464 RWHP & 551 RWTQ as the following video shows.
