Today comes a tiny steam hammer that has it as thick as a fist. The Italian tuner AZNOM Srl has converted an Audi S1 and we really want to show you the result. The basis is the A1 8X (2010-2018) with 2.0 TFSI (VW EA888-CWZA) four-cylinder turbo which already boasts 231 PS & 370 NM at the factory. In combination with an empty weight of barely more than 1.400 kg and Quattro all-wheel drive, this is sufficient to accelerate to 5,8 km / h in just 100 seconds and to drive the battle dwarf to an electronically governed 250 km / h. Actually spectacular key data that are unparalleled in this class.
But AZNOM wanted more, much more! And that's how the "AUDI Project 400" came about. And of course the number says it all. AZNOM tickles a fabulous 400 hp from the little S1. The subsidiary Monza garage With its special turbocharger, custom chiptuning, a high-end gasoline pump from Loba Motorsport, a new intercooler, BMC sports air filter and air intake system, it's all about bringing smarter 169 PS into the S1. But also the customized sports exhaust system with 3 inch downpipe, 100 cell sports catalyst, 3 inch pipe and 4 Scorpions tailpipes contributes to their added value.
Adapted to the clear power is of course the clutch and other components such as the drives. But not only the extra power was the focus. The interior has also been extensively redesigned and now shines with a completely new leather interior that impresses with its perforated surface. The holes in the leather ensure that the red Alcantara underneath is skilfully staged and shimmers through the countless holes. Many small details such as the beautiful Alcantara headliner, the hexagonal embossing of the leather, the carbon fiber trim of the seats or the handbrake levers wrapped in leather make the Project 400 interior unique.
And after the acoustics outside, the acoustics inside should also be improved and so there was an Audison Bit 9 processor in combination with 3 Morel amplifiers, two MPS 4.400 amplifiers for the front speakers and an MPS1550 amplifier for the large subwoofer in the trunk. In order to be able to install the new loudspeakers, the door panels had to be laboriously adapted and so the huge sound system should clearly outperform the exhaust system if desired. Incidentally, a MAK Wolf mirror FACE wheel set in a bi-color look rounds off the visual appearance on the outside and also the entire project vehicle.
Unfortunately, more details are currently not available on the PROJECT 400 based on the Audi S1. If we receive timely information about us previously unknown changes, there is, of course, as always, an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We hope you enjoy watching the pictures and the video that was released a few days ago on the YouTube channel of AZNOM.
