With a roaring, and of course large displacement, V8 and the associated lush power as well as an extremely dynamic fastback body in retro design, the current Ford Mustang GT is more successful than ever. These ingredients are enough for Ford to bring “THE” muscle car back on the road to success that has recently flattened out a bit. For the team around Schropp Fahrzeugtechnik from Schönaich, however, there is still no reason not to lend a hand. The focus was on the V8 engine in particular, and profound changes were made. This makes the Schropp Mustang GT Coupé a crazy horsepower monster for German roads. The centerpiece is an SF600 compressor kit that persuades the five-liter eight-cylinder engine to achieve significantly more power. The 5.0 already has 421 hp ex works, but the supercharger conjures up a brilliant 600 hp.

The additional performance is of course also achieved through adapted chip tuning and the package only comes on the road when a before-and-after measurement has been carried out on the test bench. To be on the safe side, Schropp gives the customer an SCT-X4 flasher with the serial data as a backup to take home with them. If that's not enough, you can order the full range. The whole thing is then called SF600R and includes, for example, reinforced engine components. The Coyote engine block as well as the cylinder liners, the connecting rods, the pistons, the crankshaft, the oil pump and the sprocket are being revised. All components are meticulously designed and, of course, matched to the increased load. In addition, there is a fuel and boost pressure upgrade and the engine shakes an insane 807 PS and a maximum of 950 Nm from its sleeve.

So that the extra power can also be heard acoustically, there is a Schropp manifold with HJS 200-cell catalytic converter and an in-house duplex exhaust system with 76-millimeter tailpipes and integrated valve control. And the fact that the drive shaft did not stop working with the first throttle was also taken into account, and so the powerful power comes onto the road by means of a reinforced drive shaft and cardan shaft. In terms of driving dynamics, a KW V3 coilover kit and a carbon strut bar ensure even better road holding. It is clear that over 800PS also want to come to a standstill, from now on perforated and slotted StopTech brake discs help keep the V8 in check. And you also want to attract attention visually. A wrapping from the WRAPworks team makes the Mustang a real eye-catcher with a striking green & matt black camouflage design. The "Schropp Tuning" lettering should not be missing because, after all, you want to draw attention to the company.

Other changes to the front are a carbon front splitter and the open grille. And at the rear, too, people “let off steam” and gave the Ami an FM-05-R rear wing with approval that brings one or two kilograms of contact pressure with it. The Osram daytime running lights and hood lifters, which have also found their place, are rather small details. An absolute highlight are the black Cor.Speed Challenge rims in 9 × 21 on the front axle and lush 10,5 × 21 inches at the rear, which are equipped with 255 / 30R21 and 285 / 30R21 slippers. The last millimeter in the front wheel arch is brought out with 15-millimeter spacers, and the set-up at the rear is a perfect fit. The interior also gets a chic detail because Schropp installed a steering wheel of a GT350R with a 12 o'clock mark and a noble Alcantara cover. A great part of this Mustang! If we get even more information about the modifications, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
