The flagship of the current W205 C-Class is definitely the elegant convertible (A205), which leaves almost nothing to be desired. Perfect proportions, engines up to 510 hp and the usual high-quality interior with a soft top impress immediately and exude the timeless elegance that is typical of Daimler. Only the somewhat “too high wheelbase” can be blamed on the man from Stuttgart. But here there is a remedy on request. The new H&R HVF spring system with continuously adjustable height adjustment is now also available for the C-Class convertible. The factory Mercedes shock absorbers are completely retained. Completely regardless of whether the vehicle is equipped with the conventional series or sports suspension or whether the buyer has opted for the electronically adaptive agility control ex works. The HVF system combines sporty H&R chic with a good portion of performance. The system can be individually adjusted to the needs of the vehicle owner and ensures a variable lowering of the front axle of 35 to 55 millimeters.
The rear axle can be lowered by 30 to 50 millimeters if required. The driving comfort of the C-Class is always retained. In addition to the lowering, the HVF system ensures a significantly more dynamic driving behavior, because the center of gravity is now lower. The result is more direct steering and reduced body roll. Incidentally, the wheels are now like a glove in the wheel arches. The H&R HVF spring system is available for many engines and versions of the current C-Class. This also applies to the high-performance AMG models. The necessary parts certificate for a smooth entry in the vehicle documents is always included. The delivery program also includes H&R sport springs and coilovers, Sport stabilizers and the well-known “Trak +” wheel spacers. All H&R components are always 100% Made in Germany. H&R HVF systems are only available from selected H&R sales partners.
