While there has been a lot of fuss over the past few days about the brand new Porsche GT2 RS with 700 hp, the limited 911 Turbo S is the Exclusive Series almost lost something. It's a pity, after all, the latter brings with it a whopping 607 PS and, unlike the GT2 RS, should hardly have any opponents. Although, there is still the latest project from the tuner Edo Competition with surname "Blue Arrow"! Behind this term hides namely the 991 Turbo S facelift model that has just times received a power injection of almost 100 PS which you do not really look at him. Apart from a discreet lowering and a sports exhaust system in the series look is almost nothing happened. The more striking are the new performance! The modified penalty shoots as of the tarantula bitten in only 2,7 seconds of 0 at 100 km / h and is already 6,1 seconds later with 200 km / h on the way. Almost undiminished, the propulsion continues at 300 km / h because for this discipline the Edo Turbo S requires only insane 23,4 seconds.
To give you a rough idea of these values we would like to point out that the 580PS production vehicle is a whole 6,2 seconds slower is as the Blue Arrow. This is due to 850 Nm torque (750 Nm series) and powerful 675 PS, which also allow a top speed of 344 km / h. But how does EDO achieve this additional performance? By means of a newly developed engine control unit including performance-optimized software, the already mentioned sports rear silencer with trimetal catalysts and a decent weight saving of at least 60 kg. These components ensure that the Blue Arrow mutates into a high-performance powerhouse and stays on the heels of the new GT2 RS. Visually, however, much more restrained. The changes to the series will probably notice only the connoisseur immediately.
There was a subtle carbon front hood, two- and three-part grille sets in the front and also on the rear side and a chic accent is set with color-coordinated brake calipers. The highlight are definitely the filigree forged wheels from our own production. They are fitted with sports tires in the format 245 / 35R20 at the front and 325 / 25R21 at the rear and, thanks to a 30 millimeter lowering, sit optimally in the wheel arch. If the lowering is not enough for you, you can do a lot more with the KW racing suspension and decommissioning kit. If we get more information about the modifications to the Turbo S, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
