Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Audi Q7 or Porsche Cayenne. And now the Touareg is also coming on the modular longitudinal construction kit from VW and represents another alternative from the VAG Group in the field of SUVs. Visually possibly the boringest, technically but definitely on the same level. A strong 286 PS & 600 Nm six-cylinder (also a weaker version is available) that complies with the Euro 6d-temp standard, cruise control and lane recognition, a shapely giant display, DAB + and countless other refinements characterize the new model generation. And so that the somewhat austere design disappears, traditional tuner Abt-Sportsline now has new alloy wheels and a performance upgrade for the Touareg ready.

On the one hand there is the top model ABT SPORT GR in 22 inches but also the models DR, ER-C and FR-C are available in different sizes for the Wolfsburg. The variant GR installed here shows itself in the noble glossy black and is definitely an eye-catcher on the Touareg III as we find. Incidentally, this wheel is also available in matt black. A special highlight of the forged rim is the strongly concave rim base and the fact that this rim is lighter than the standard wheel. And as already mentioned, there is already an increase in performance for the Wolfsburg.

Thanks to the ABT power module, the 3.0-liter TDI engine now not only has the factory 286 PS (210 kW) & 600 Nm, but also an impressive 330 PS (243 kW) and 650 Nm. This puts it on the same level as the 3.0 V6 TSI petrol engine and even clearly exceeds it in terms of torque. And there are already some optical accessories. On request, Abt Sportsline replaces the standard lights in the driver and passenger door with the ABT door entry lighting, which projects the ABT logo onto the asphalt every time it is opened.

The presentation vehicle also got a small Abt emblem in the radiator grille and will be rounded off for the time being. However, we assume that in the near future also some aerodynamic parts will follow and maybe even a widebody kit like Abt has it for the Q7 at the start. However, exact information is not available. If we receive new information promptly, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
