From the English tuner Mulgari Automotive comes a completely rebuilt BMW M240i which is factory-fitted with the B58B30 six-cylinder in-line engine and 340 PS & 500 NM directly under the M2 top model. In terms of torque, it is even 35 NM higher ex works (M2 from 10 / 2015 to 06 / 2018). And it is precisely this M240i Mulgari has become the so-called ICON03 transformed. The result is to bring puristic driving dynamics and is considered a tribute to the big driving machines from BMW back then and now. The ICON03 comes with a widebody kit based on the E30 M3 which brings all around fender flares and us a little bit of the Prior Design PD2XX Kit remind. Everything but a bit more discreet! And to reduce weight, the ICON03 even got a carbon roof with a central lowering in homage to the legendary E46 M3 CSL.

The front apron got a front splitter which, in addition to the optical effect, also provides more downforce. And something has also happened at the rear. Here one relies on a rear diffuser from M Performance painted in the body color and as far as we know the small spoiler lip on the tailgate from the tuning repertoire of BMW. Not from BMW are the approaches for the side skirts, which should ensure an improved air flow to the rear brake system. And of course there was also an increase in performance. For the ICON25, which is limited to 03 pieces, there was chip tuning software in combination with an Akrapovic sports exhaust system (by PERON Automotive) including carbon tailpipes and thus an increase in performance to stately 500 PS & 590 NM.

According to Mulgari, even more would have been possible here, but the focus should be on a well-balanced setup and not on pure engine power. And this set-up also includes a modified suspension from KW Suspensions and an ultra-light 19 blacksmith forged wheels. A look through the filigree spokes of the wheelset reveals a modified brake system with icon03 initials and striking yellow painted calipers. The combination of forged wheels and sports suspension to allow with the many other changes to the M240i a perfect symbiosis of sportiness and comfort. And there was also more sportiness for the interior. Like on the outside, you also put accents in yellow on the inside and the biggest change is probably the installation of the Carbon Recaro sports seats.

But here are many small details such as a flattened steering wheel with yellow contrast stitching and 12-clock mark, new carbon shift paddles, carbon dials and additional instruments in the center console. And how self-confidently Mulgari praises the ICON03 7's targeted lap time shows 30 at the Nürburgring which the tuner wants to reach in July of this year. After all, that would be almost half a minute faster than a standard M2.
