Compared to the last generation of the X3 (F25), the new G01 is not only bigger but also “smarter”. The interior is in the direction of the BMW 5 Series and comes with wireless Apple CarPlay, gesture control or a full-color head-up display. And this is exactly what the team of AC Schnitzer now already the first modifications in stock. It all starts with the AC Schnitzer aerodynamic kit, which gives the X3 G01 series a really sporty appearance. To him belong distinctive front spoiler elements (suitable with M-technology) and a striking roof spoiler which not only has visual advantages but also improves the output values on the axles.
At the moment, the rear apron is only given a protective film against annoying scratches, but there may be a sporty rear apron insert in diffuser optics in the future. But also in the standard rear apron are the AC Schnitzer tailtrims ("Sport Carbon" trim panels or "Sport" trim panels, optional in chrome) perfectly integrated. And as with the one presented yesterday X2 (F39) as well as the work in progress ACS5 Sport BMW M5 based on the F90 are also available for the X3 different wheelsets. For the X3, the tuner has the well-known AC1 alloy wheel in BiColor or anthracite execution on offer and the sizes are here 19 to 20-inch.
If you want it a size bigger, you can opt for forged Type VIII lightweight rims that also come in a bi-color look and are available in 21 inches. So that the wheel sets sit perfectly in the wheel arches and the X3 is even more sporty, AC Schnitzer has developed a sport spring set that reduces the ground clearance of the G01 by 20 to 25 millimeters. And of course an increase in performance should not be missing and so upgrades are currently available for the diesel models X3 xDrive20d and X3 xDrive30d. For the four-cylinder with 190 PS & 400 NM a plus to 222 PS is possible and for the powerful six-cylinder xDrive30d with 265 PS it goes up to a whopping 315 PS.
The 20d comes closer to the larger xDrive25d and the 30d mutates into the ACS3 3.0d and can even annoy the M40i top model (360 PS & 500 NM) if desired. Finally, there are also various modifications for the interior and so Schnitzer fans can set skilful accents with aluminum covers for the i-Drive controller, the pedals and the keyholder. If we get more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
