1.000PS are a good thing for Hennessy. Regardless of whether Challenger Demon, Jeep Trackhawk, Charger Hellcat or Camaro Z / 28 and CIf desired, everyone gets an upgrade to a four-digit result. Even 1.200 PS and more are no problem for the American tuner like us HPE1200 Trackhawk and of course the crazy ones ZR1 HPE1200 already impressively showed. And now Hennessey has presented a Cadillac CTS-V with 1.000 PS which is hard to beat for understatement. For one, there are hardly any visual differences to the series, on the other hand, the CTS-V comes from the factory already very reserved to the dealer. The Hennessey has been busy with the CTS-V for some time showed us that HPE750 / HPE800 kit that the tuner 2016 presented and also the first semi-official test run in July this year read a first look at the over-CTS-V.
Cadillac CTS-V with 1.000PS
But now officially! Here's the third-generation HPE1000 Cadillac CTS-V. But now the bad news. Unfortunately, Cadillac has also decided with the third generation to not officially offer the vehicle in Europe. So remains only the detour through various importers and the fact that even a new car in the worst case, not from a Cadillac dealer. That's a pity. After all, it is an absolute alternative to the BMW M5, the Mercedes E63 AMG or the Audi RS6 Avant when it is already in production. Especially, of course, as HPE1000 by Hennessey Performance.
huge 1.310 NM torque
Coming from the Corvette Z06, the 1.000 PS delivers powerful 1.310 NM torque and lets the CTS-V shoot at 2,9 km / h (96 miles) in just 60 seconds. The quarter mile is completed with the upgrade in just 10,5 seconds. And all with rear-wheel drive in a limousine! Of course, everything is underpinned by a tremendous soundscape thanks to the new compressor in combination with a sports exhaust system. The white presentation vehicle puts it on in-house forged wheels in elegant black, missed him a minimal lowering and set with HPE1000 badgets and a Hennessy logo on the tailgate little hints on the performance upgrade.
hardly a difference to the production vehicle
For us, the Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V is definitely one of the most elegant ways to hide 1.000 PS in a sedan. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
