Corruptt - Ferrari V8 engine in the 1968 Ford Mustang

Insanity what the SEMA Auto Show had to offer again this year. After we only yesterday the 650 PS Rally Golf from Kraftwerx "Nachlieferten" comes a crazy Ford Mustang today. Under the project name "Corruptt", a Mustang was created based on a 1968 model that is definitely unique. The background is the engine! Here the factory V8 flew out and a 4,3 liter V8 engine from a Ferrari F430 was installed (built by 2005-2009). The guys from "American Legends" who are not only known for the muscle car scene but also for crazy hot rods and classic cars were responsible for the conversion. And the engine hasn't even been left in series. The originally free-aspirating 90 ° F136 E eight-cylinder V-engine was pushed to an insane 700 hp by means of bi-turbo charging and coupled to a Tremec T56 six-speed gearbox with a sequential gearshift lever.

Ferrari California Air Intake System

There was also a Ferrari California air inlet and a specially made sidepipe sports exhaust system to guarantee a species-appropriate soundscape. For the chassis, a Ride Tech Shockwave air suspension is used, and Avant Garde Wheels F461 alloy wheels in glossy black turn in the wheel arches. Through the spokes of the rims you can also see a huge Wilwood brake system with slotted brake discs and yellow-painted brake calipers. The project name "Corruptt" is immortalized in black on the saddles. And the body was also significantly modified. The most extensive detail was definitely the chopping of the roof, which ensures that the Mustang is a good 2,5 inches flatter.

completely new outer skin and a chopped roof

But also the completely newly developed bumpers, the side skirts, the carbon base plate or the huge rear end with integrated duck tail spoiler lip have been developed in-house. In addition, equipped with the technology of modern times are the headlights, the turn signals and the cool rear lights. Everything is finally rounded off with a successful finish in dark metallic gray. And of course, the interior is not left untouched. There was a leather interior in black with accents in yellow and a center console in Sichtcarbon. The sport seats carry Schroth 5 point straps and a highlight is definitely the fully carbon-wrapped instrument cluster of the F430.

Interior like in a super sports car

Incidentally, the noble carbon covers also carry the ventilation nozzles, which also come from the F430. The high-quality 3-spoke sports steering wheel with 12 o'clock marking is not from the Italian, but much nicer. The entire interior reminds us of the cabin of a super sports car and considering the performance, the Mustang should probably drive that too. We do not currently have any more details. If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned so far, there will of course be an update for this report.
