Almost 2 weeks ago we reported the Hennssey performance diligently at the current Ford Ranger pickup tinkers and gets up to 380 PS out of the truck. At the same time we have pointed out that the website of the tuner has new aerodynamics parts and modifications for the chassis ready, which should make the Ranger a VelociRaptor. And that's exactly what happened! Hennessey Performance has released first pictures of the 2019 Ford Ranger VelociRaptor. A mid-size pickup truck for just under 65.000 $ is a great alternative to the huge one F-150 Velociraptor is. The conversion kit is limited to 500 copies for model year 2019 and costs just under 20.000 $ including shipping.

There is then an increase in performance for the 2,3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbo from 270 PS & 420 NM to 360 PS & 520 NM and a huge look. The tuner achieves the leap in performance by means of in-house chip tuning, an air intake system and a stainless steel catback exhaust system. This improves the acceleration to 100 km / h by 1,3 seconds, which means that the pickup now completes the sprint in just 6,1 seconds. The new look and of course the changes to the chassis are particularly important. The Ranger gets a Stage 1 off-road kit to raise it by 4 inches, and a new set of wheels. In-house aluminum rims in 18 inches are installed which, in combination with BF Goodrich KM2 all-terrain tires in the format 285/70 R18, bring another 2 inch lift.

So there is a total of 6 inches (15,24 cm) up for the Ranger. In addition, Hennessy installed the typical VelociRaptor bumpers at the front and rear. The component at the front optionally comes with a strong cable winch (not installed in the video) and integrated additional LED lights, and a huge LED light bar (optional) can also be installed on the roof if the customer so wishes. The visual appearance is rounded off with various Hennessey & VelociRaptor logos (also on the headrests) and under the bonnet, and in the cabin there is a consecutive serial number that indicates the exclusivity of the conversion.
