Not two weeks ago, the Japanese tuner WALD international gave us that Virtually presented Black Bison widebody kit for the new 2018 Suzuki Jimny. A few days later there were a few pictures of how the first components were modeled on the body, and now it's finished. on the past Tokyo Auto Salon WALD internationally presented a completely rebuilt copy that comes very close to the virtual design. However, some of the cuts were made in our opinion, especially striking and conspicuous. For one, there would be the huge bonnet with attached Powerdome, on the other hand missing the additional lights above the windshield. But both should come! The rest is almost identical to the preview. The result is reminiscent of the Mercedes G500 4 × 4², just everything at least one size smaller.

There was the announced front bumper with additional LED daytime running lights and also the underrun protection is integrated here. There were large patch turn signals in the style of the Mercedes G-Class (W463), a new grille without emblem and panels for the new headlights. But the most important thing is the wheel arch extensions all around. They provide a widening of the body and give room for the powerful off-road wheelset. The side skirts, which are still used to connect the wheel arch extensions, have not changed. The roof was given a large spoiler and the factory-installed spare wheel was initially dismantled on the presentation vehicle. There was a redesigned rear apron that is adapted to the spacers and bring new taillights.

And another highlight is the new in-house wheelset (possibly from 8ight) and the suspension of the chassis. For both changes we have no information at the moment. The fact is, the tires are Toyo Tires. A little bit more sober than what one virtually conjured on the computer is the Jimny already, compared to the series but of course still an absolute highlight. But at the latest with the new hood and the roof attachment everything is in butter. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report. The guys from Wald International have now finally completed the Suzuki Jimny presented at the Tokyo Auto Salon. At that time, the announced bonnet with power dome was still missing. For the current Osaka Auto Show 2019, this is now installed. It provides a crazy powerful front of the widebody Jimny and completes the conversion.
