What do you have? Dodge Demon and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk together? The 6,2 liter V8 supercharged engine, of course! With 710 hp, the Jepp is somewhat weakened, but the extra power of 142 hp is largely due to the larger compressor. And as is well known, tuner has Hennessey performance with the HPE1200 kit The Demon already pushed on crazy 1.200 PS. And also the jeep was allowed to talk about that first HPE850 kit and only a short time later over the mistaken HPE1000-stage looking forward. But now Hennessey has performance 1 and 1 added together and actually stuffs the Demon's HPE1200 compressor kit under the Trackhawk's hood! That means crazy 1200 PS & 1200 NM are now raging in the huge 2,5 ton SUV. The result? With 2,3 seconds a faster acceleration to a 100 km / h than a Porsche 918 Spyder or Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and the fact that the quarter mile on request in just 9,66 seconds (new world record) is completed.
deactivatable four-wheel drive
That's only one hundredth (yes, hundredths) slower than the Demon who was specially built for this discipline. And here you sit comfortably in an SUV with all the amenities that are in this class. As with the HPE1200 Demon, the increase in performance is of course also due to extensive changes. In addition to a huge compressor, there were new pistons, connecting rods, cylinder heads, a manifold and 109 octane racing fuel. Everything is combined by means of individual chip tuning and the fact that from now on full 1,5 bar boost pressure in the engine are pressed. For enough traction, there was a set of drag tires, a discreetly revised chassis and a modified four-wheel drive. This allows the driver from now to free the front axle of their driving tasks and thus perform a burn-out to warm up the rear tires for maximum grip.
For the actual acceleration race, the all-wheel drive is of course activated again. An almost indispensable gimmick considering the performance. The sprint measured and filmed from any position was recorded by the HPE1200 Trackhawk with an acceleration of the aforementioned 2,3 seconds from 0-96 km / h (0-60 mph) and a GPS speed of 234 km / h (241 km / h according to the speedometer) at the end of the 402,34 m. Incidentally, Hennessey is limiting the HPE1200 Trackhawk to just 24 copies at a price of just under 180.000 US dollars (a good 156.000 euros). Anyone who already owns a Trackhawk "only" has to plan about 90.000 US dollars for the conversion. Apart from a few tiny visual cues, there is no difference to the series. A little Wolf in the dog fur is there already on how we find. If we get more information soon there is of course an update for this report.
