Ford has revised the popular Mustang for 2018. This applies to both the closed version as a coupé and the open pleasure in the form of the convertible. Hardly any other vehicle reaches emotions as deep as a Mustang, so of course Ford was particularly careful and wanted to do everything right. And that seems to have succeeded. There is the “big block” five-liter eight-cylinder or the 2,3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder, a six-speed manual gearbox or a ten-speed converter transmission and a reasonable base price of only 42.500 euros. In addition, there is an interior with significantly more class than its predecessor, which has a contemporary virtual cockpit including infotainment screen and a lot of other bells and whistles.
And just such a specimen has the Austrian tuner Peicher performance caught and remodeled in the most violent way. The absolute highlight is of course that Liberty Walk widebody kitthat the body gives a completely new look. The Japanese body kit includes a rear diffuser, sporty side skirts with swords, a front lip, front wings and of course the ducktail rear spoiler. The highlight, however, are definitely the mighty widenings for the fenders, which can only be brought into harmony with the body after extensive "sawing work" as well as a lot of welding and tin.
Of course, everything was neatly painted in the body color (by Autohaus Lenz) and you could dedicate yourself to a suitable wheel set. The significantly widened fenders are now filled in by Yido performance YP6.2 Forged rims that bring huge dimensions. The two-piece wheelset comes in the dimensions 9,5 × 21 inches ET5 at the front and heavy 12 × 21 inches with ET0 behind. There was also around a wheel spacer of 20 mm from the house MR and of course correspondingly fat slippers. Equipped is the noble wheelset with hawk tires in 255 / 30 and 295 / 25 and everything is garnished with a significant lowering. Here, Peicher Performance built a ST Suspension ST-XTA suspension kit that provides a tremendous lowering and thanks to adjustable strut mount and in combination with a strut bar of STEEDA makes the setup durable and above all mobile.
Incidentally, this Mustang is equipped with the specially designed for Europe 317 PS 2,3 liter Ecoboost four-cylinder. Thanks to the Mishimoto Downpipe and a Remus sports exhaust system including flap control, the driver can now clearly and acoustically communicate his slightly increased performance to the environment. A great project that was officially presented with the video below. More details are not available for the Mustang convertible from Peicher Performance.
