It's hard to believe, but now the fourth generation of the A-Class is on the road. Became famous through the disastrous result of the so-called "elk test" (W168), at the latest with the W176, a completely new vehicle was created. Mercedes then perfected this with the appearance of the W177 this year. And DTE Systems GmbH has already started to give the Stuttgart-based company more power. The A200, which has a 1,3 liter engine ex works (M 282 EN 14 AL) and 163 PS & 250 NM is coming. DTE is helping him to jump by +23 PS and +46 Nm to 186 PS & 296 NM by means of PowerControl X performance increase. The engine, developed in cooperation with Renault, including particle filter, is moving towards the A220, which leaves the factory with 190 PS & 300 NM.
PowerControl X & PedalBox
Even in the A-Class, the installation is completed in just a few minutes because the control unit is connected to only three connection points (Boost pressure, intake manifold pressure and camshaft) and is immediately ready for use. A highlight here is the PowerControl app with which everything can be conveniently operated from the cockpit. Nice gimmicks like a warm-up timer or an innovative accelerometer set the system apart from the competition. And optionally the A-Class can also be equipped with DTE accelerator tuning (PedalBox). The PedalBox enables a particularly direct and spontaneous throttle response and thus reduces the starting weakness.
