Record broken: Pikes Peak 2019 Bentley Continental GT

Just over a month ago, Bentley announced that it would be part of the legendary Pikes Peak with a standard Continental GT with the goal of setting a new course record for this vehicle category. And that's exactly the driver Rhys Millen now also succeeded. In the category Production Vehicles (Vehicles are almost complete series, apart from some safety features) Millen flew in 10: 18,488 minutes over the 20 km long distance and thereby improved the 2015 set record of David Donner aboard a Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) by over 8 seconds (10: 26,9 minutes). The 156 turns Rhys Millen with an average speed of 113 km / h and was incidentally 23 seconds faster than 2018 in the 600 PS & 900 Nm strong W12 Bentayga SUV.

Of course that had not been the case. Our tuning magazine has tens of thousands more tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all? Just click HERE and look around. Or are you particularly interested in the Bentley brand? Then the following excerpt is for sure just the right thing.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
