Under power: electric sports car Porsche Taycan (2019)

Here he is, the first electric sports car from Porsche. Yesterday was world premiere of the Porsche Taycan (2019) heralding a new era for the manufacturer. To start, there are the models Taycan Turbo S and the Taycan Turbo. The Taycan Turbo S is the current spearhead and delivers powerful 761 PS (560 kilowatts) with activated Launch Control, and with Overboost function. The Taycan Turbo brings it to at least 680 PS (500 kW). Enough electric power to accelerate to 3,2 km / h with the Taycan Turbo in just 100 seconds and to get a maximum of 450 kilometers. The Taycan Turbo S manages the sprint in 2,8 seconds and is to come 412 km far. They both drive with the same battery which has a storage capacity of 93,4 kWh. For the first time in a production vehicle, the system works with 800 Volt (otherwise 400 Volt). So with 270 kW charging power, charging to 80 percent can be done in just 22,5 minutes.

a maximum of five displays in the cabin

But even with conventional 11 kW AC, the vehicle can be charged at home. A high percentage of the efficiency of the Taycan is also due to the low air resistance with a cW value of 0,22. Inside there are a maximum of five displays, a curved instrument display (16,8 inches), in addition comes a central infotainment display (10,9 inches) and an optional monitor for the passenger can also be ordered. It continues with an 8,4-inch display in the center console for the settings of the climate and a final display in the format 5,9 inches sitting in the rear. This also controls the air conditioning and other functions. The most important details follow summarized below. If we get more information soon there is of course an update for this report.
