Which vehicle on the basis of a station wagon can you think of that guarantees maximum driving pleasure? Correct! The Mini Clubman, which is the highlight of the series, especially as the 231 PS John Cooper Works (JCW) version. But the practical appearance unfortunately also ensures that the Briton has really high "legs". Understandable, because at least you should be able to load a whopping 530 kilograms. The team around the suspension professionals from H&R is now proving that it can also be much sportier. The chassis has been optimized by sport springs specially matched to the standard dampers, which ensure that the standard 18 inch rims are now perfectly positioned in the wheel arches and the body crouches just above them. This does not change the remaining spring travel, but the JCW Clubman bends a full 30 millimeters at the front and back, giving it the look that not only fans of British sports cars love. So the power station wagon becomes an absolute club master!
Of course, the new H&R setup is also convincing in terms of driving dynamics: The spontaneous steering behavior in particular inspires with precision and the Clubman receives a noticeable plus in lateral dynamics thanks to the spring tuning and the lower center of gravity. If that's not enough, H&R offers even more individuality and a sporty feeling: A “Trak +” wheel spacer will soon be available as a further option for the Mini Clubman JCW. By the way: It doesn't have to be the JCW. The H&R catalog also has matching sport springs and wheel spacers for the smaller models.
