Mercedes has just presented the new generation of the GLE SUV Coupé (C 167) and tuner G-Power shows us that "the old one" (C 292) is by no means a thing of the past. But on the contrary! Especially the top model as GLE 63 S AMG is still a highlight and currently the strongest copy of the entire GLE range since 2015. And like most SUV coupes, GLE has written an amazing track record. The vehicle category, which was unknown a few years ago, has become a perennial favorite and the premium manufacturers are represented almost without exception with at least one model. And especially spectacular is the GLE 63 S when he was subjected to the power tuner G-POWER. And that's exactly what the performance specialists did and brought the 585 PS projectile to an undreamt-of performance with an extensive upgrade. Powerful 800 PS / 588 kW and a maximum torque of mighty 1.100 Nm presses the twin-turbo M157 eight-cylinder in the G-POWER GX 63 S AMG now to all 4 wheels.

But to achieve an increase in performance of 215 PS / 158 kW or 340 Nm, of course, more than just a simple chip tuning needed. The well-known G-Power performance software V3 therefore enjoys the help of various hardware optimizations on the eight-cylinder. For example, the new turbochargers with larger turbine and compressor wheels would bring with them the CNC-optimized housings and optimized compressor turbine blades. On the other hand, G-Power uses flow-optimized exhaust manifolds to reduce the dynamic pressure, and new downpipes and a complete sports exhaust system are also at the start. Of course, all high quality stainless steel in the usual OEM quality. Although there are currently no new GLE acceleration values, the sprint to 100 km / h will hardly take more than 3,5 seconds. And of course, the cancellation of the V-max limit is completely disabled.

+300 km / h are no longer a problem. And visually something has also changed. The AMG GLE 63 S can be given G-Power decorative stripes and lettering on request and, as an absolute highlight, a new set of rims. Specifically, there are the well-known "HURRICANE RR" forged wheels that the tuner installed on the GLE in 22 inch format. Thanks to their manufacture from high-tech aircraft aluminum, they are still relatively light. Incidentally, the Jet Black black lacquered aluminum is equipped with high-performance tires in the dimensions 285/40 ZR22 at the front and 315/25 ZR22 at the rear. Other small details such as the painted engine cover, the "Hurricane" cover for the brake calipers, the fixed rear spoiler or the subtle lowering of the GLE round off the visual appearance of the photo vehicle impressively.
