The traditional Ford tuner Tickford from Melbourne in Australia has a brand new project at the start. Namely the "Tickford Trans-Am"! A Ford Mustang GT model year +2018 that was created as a homage to the 1969 BOSS 302 Trans-Am. This was driven by the Canadian Allan Moffat and was one of the most successful racing cars in Australian history. In cooperation with Tickford Racing and Allan Moffat, Tickford Automotive has now presented the 2019 Tickford Trans-Am in two versions: the Performance Edition and the Performance Plus Edition. The series, which is limited to 100 pieces, is always painted in Race red and the Mustang is available with an automatic or a classic manual switch. The paintwork is a replica of the paintwork from 1969 and there is also a fixed rear wing and a new grille with round LED auxiliary lights and a black Mustang emblem in the style of the classic.

In addition, small details such as the black mirror caps as well as a flower power logo and a gold decoration on the rear without Ford badge. Under the hood there is a 400 kW V8 unit (543 PS) that generates a torque of 620 Newton meters and is covered by a Tickford Racing strut bar. There are differences here, however, for vehicles with manual transmission that provide a maximum of 511 PS & 620 NM. Alternatively, a variant with 710 hp is even feasible, which is implemented using a Roush compressor. The 8-spoke Minilite rims in the 20-inch format (20 x 9,5 inches and 20 x 11 inches) on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in the 275 / 35R20 format at the front and 295 are also based on the look of the past / 35R20 rear. And a look through the spokes of the new Alus also reveals a modified braking system.
also a Wilwood system is available
The original Brembo brake system is upgraded with Bendix brake discs and there are also ceramic brake pads. For the chassis, Tickford relies on dampers from H&R with coil springs and for vehicles with the new MagneRide ™ system there are lowering springs from Eibach and other in-house components. In the cabin, there is a lot of nappa leather in red and black with a modern interpretation of the 1969 BOSS 302 Mustang and the Tickford Trans-Am logo in the seats. In addition, a few details covered with Alcantara and leather, a padded steering wheel, a new gear knob in retro style and of course an exclusive badge that indicates the strict limitation of the Tickford Trans-Am.

Incidentally, the “Performance Plus Edition” of the Tickford Mustang has a high-performance braking system from Wilwood with 15 inch discs and 6-piston calipers in red at the front, and the rear axle has slotted 14-inch wheels and a 4-piston system. In addition, Performance Plus Edition owners get access to a number of Allan Moffat events.
