If you don't want to overindulge yourself with a trailer or a complete motorhome, the manufacturer has it Red Tail Overland a practical alternative ready. The company, based in Longmont (Colorado / USA), presented the first Campoing hard shell attachment called RTC for the vehicle roof. And the advantage over a commercial one Rooftent is obvious. The one in English Hardshell rooftop The structure mentioned does not have to be laboriously unfolded or folded, but is essentially only opened. The two fixed side parts and the front wall are created almost automatically. A much more convenient process compared to the softshell variants for the roof.

And in contrast to similar examples from other manufacturers, the side walls are solid and even have double glass windows. The version of Redtail is therefore different from the competition and is even made of ultra-light carbon. Compared to the fabric version, the solid walls offer natural protection, in particular protection against wild animals and environmental influences. In addition, this variant also reduces the background noise from the outside, which is particularly attributable to the insulated carbon fiber. The Redtail RTC is available in two sizes (RT 90 and RT 110) and suitable for different vehicle sizes. And another highlight is the built-in solar panels that generate up to 330 watts and the built-in lithium battery with 60 amps per hour.

the batteries are always charged

This enabled the installation of a dimmable LED lighting, a fan with variable speed, various charging connections and the integration of one Inverters for Home possible. The Redtail RTC is even supplied with a floor hatch, which allows direct access to the interior in vehicles with a sliding roof. So you don't have to leave the superstructure to get inside the vehicle and vice versa. Should it get dangerous during a safari, it can even be a life-saving measure. With a price tag of around $ 25.000 for the RT 110 and $ 20.000 for the RT 90, the RTC also has a proud price tag.
