CMT: This is what you need to know about the popular tourism fair!

The CMT, one of the largest and most popular tourism fairs in Europe, takes place annually at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center and attracts tourists, experts and visitors from all over the world. Since its inception, the fair has grown into one of the largest international tourism fairs, offering tourists a unique mix of experiences and adventures every year. From the best equipment to exclusive events, the fair has new and unique offers every year to make the next summer vacation unforgettable. If one mentions the most popular tourism trade fair in Europe, the CMT in Stuttgart quickly comes to mind. The fair has been held every year since 1963 and attracts tourists from all over the world. In 2019, the CMT became the largest consumer-oriented trade fair in Germany with over 500.000 visitors. At the fair you will find all the major travel providers in Europe, but also individual travel agencies, hotels, etc. from different countries. But that's not all. The fair also offers moments of entertainment, such as musical performances, interactive workshops and children's programs.

When is the CMT open?

  • from January 14th to 22nd
  • daily from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m
  • Admission from 9 p.m.

Tickets and Prices!

  • Tickets are available online and on site
  • a maximum of five tickets can be purchased
  • Day tickets cost €14 from Monday to Friday, €17 on Saturdays and Sundays (incl. VVS ticket)
  • Lunch tickets from 14 p.m. (€9 each Monday to Friday, €10 each on Saturdays and Sundays) – without VVS ticket
  • Two-day ticket €22 (no VVS ticket included)
  • At the east and west entrances there are machines for buying tickets with an EC card or credit card or in cash (plus processing fee of €3)
  • Children up to 15 years accompanied by an adult are free
  • Persons with disabilities (with a valid severely disabled person's pass and mark B, receive a free day ticket for an accompanying person)
  • 1 hour parking costs €2,50, 2 hours costs €5,50, 3 hours €8, daily rate €24

What's in the caravan area?

  • 7 exhibition halls with around 1.200 camping vehicles, caravans, mobile homes
  • East entrance with information and advice on sustainable travel with a mobile home or caravan
  • Rooftop tents or small caravans are shown in separate areas
  • There are roof tents at the east entrance to the exhibition
  • in Hall 1 there are small caravans, mini campers and teardrop trailers

The CMT Touristikmesse takes place annually in Stuttgart and at the beginning of 2023, the fair will again be expecting visitors from all over the world in the 38th year of its existence. The CMT is a unique opportunity to collect holiday and travel information - far beyond what the local travel agency can offer. At the fair you can find out about different travel destinations, compare travel services and even book them directly.
