The gas locker is also easy to load with the five-kilo bottle. It only supplies the two-flame cooker, as heating is provided by the Combi 4 diesel heater, which is installed under the floor in the rear area.

The TOURER CUV – which is also available as the 500 LT with a face-to-face seating group – is based on the VW 6.1, with 110 hp in the entry-level engine and a six-speed manual transmission as standard. However, more powerful engines and a seven‐speed double‐clutch transmission are also optionally available.

And right at the start, the TOURER CUV is also available as a highly attractive special model CUVISION in Ascot gray with a standard 150 hp drive and seven‐speed double‐clutch transmission. extensive standard equipment such as 17‐inch tires on alloy wheels, LED headlights, air conditioning in the driver’s cab, heated seats at the front, as well as a heated windscreen and a navigation entertainment system with an inductive charging cradle for the smartphone. And the start/stop system with brake energy recovery also protects the environment.

TOURER VAN and TOURER VAN VANSATION

KNAUS and Volkswagen establish a new partnership in the motorhome segment: the new one TOURER FROM. The newly developed semi-integrated based on the VW T6.1 impresses at first glance with its sporty, striking exterior in the unmistakable KNAUS design. This is also matched by the modern, inviting interior of the TOURER VAN with open lines of sight, well thought-out storage space, light wood and stylish SAMOA accents. The new semi-integrated is available in two layouts: 500 MQ and 500 LT. Thanks to the FoldXPand rear construction, there is a gain in length inside with a compact exterior length. With an interior width of 200 cm, a height of 276 cm and a length of 588 cm, the TOURER VAN is spacious and handy at the same time.

Both floor plans have a spacious kitchen with a 90 liter compressor refrigerator, sink and two‐burner stove as well as diesel heating and boiler. A 5 kg gas bottle offers generous reserves for cooking. On request, a practical sliding bed (either as a single or double bed) can be ordered above the driver's cab, so that a total of up to four people can sleep in the TOURER VAN.

The 500 MQ also comes up with a special feature: With just a few simple movements - supported by an innovative mechanism with gas spring and belt strap - the bathroom can always be adapted to the current usage situation: If it is not needed at the moment, the height adjustable shower pushed down so that it is at the level of the adjacent rear double bed, the mattress then lies on top of the shower. This creates additional space when the shower is not in use. When the shower is pushed to the top position, it becomes a fully-fledged shower cubicle with a folding wall and full headroom of 1,90 metres. Whether in sleep or shower mode - the toilet is accessible and usable at all times. In addition, the 500 MQ inspires with a full rear garage and two separate sleeping areas: the double bed in the rear and the optional pull-out bed in the bow. In the 500 LT there is a spacious garage, a large floor storage compartment, which can also be reached via the garage, as well as other compartments and cupboards for all kinds of holiday equipment. The comfortable swivel bath makes optimal use of the space by combining two different areas of use: the washbasin on one side can be swiveled over the toilet with a flick of the wrist. This creates a self-contained shower area with smooth walls on the other side. The shower shelves integrated into the side wall can be fully used in both areas. Another highlight: the very spacious Face-to-face seating group: Instead of one, the 500 LT has two lengthwise bench seats that comfortably accommodate four people. If the driver's seats are also turned towards the living area, a total of six people can sit at the table, which can also be widened if necessary. So it says e.g. B. nothing more in the way of a meal together with guests. The seating area can also be converted into a spacious double bed.

Right at the start, the TOURER VAN is also called Special model VANSATION orderable. The extensive equipment includes far more than the usual VANSATION equipment, for example: Ascot gray cab and sidewalls17” VW alloy wheelsLED headlights including LED daytime running lights, high beam control "Light Assist" and fog lights including cornering lights, heated windshield washer nozzles, tire pressure display7-speed DSG automaticNaviceiver VW Streaming & Internet including reversing camera, smartphone interface with inductive charging functionACC distance control including Front Assist with city emergency braking function, front bumper painted in vehicle color, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, second garage door, insect protection door, awning light, awning in anthracite, panoramic hinged window, insulated and heated waste water tank, multifunction display in color, fatigue detection, multifunction leather steering wheel, height-adjustable original VW seats with double armrests and lumbar supports, seat heating for driver and front passenger, ambient lighting, smart TV and the special model upholstery VANSATION WINTER WHITE. Compared to the standard model with the appropriate equipment, the TOURER VAN VANSATION results in enormous savings.

K-SIGN: Factory customization for KNAUS TOURER models.

Mass production and customization no longer have to be opposites. Well-known sub-brands of major automobile manufacturers have been proving this for some time. At KNAUS, too, motorhomes can now be individually refined and finished directly at the factory. With K‐SIGN, all TOURER models can be personalized according to your own wishes at the highest level. The sporty and harmonious design of the K‐SIGN, which consistently appears as if it were made of one piece, is particularly eye-catching. A distinctive radiator grille conveys power and determination, and the aerodynamically styled front apron characterizes the individual face of the TOURER models from K‐SIGN. The exciting styling of the K-SIGN models is optically rounded off with powerfully designed 18-inch aluminum rims, which have a high-sheen finish as a visual contrast.

E.POWER DRIVE

The further development of the KNAUS E.POWER DRIVE vehicle study is on schedule. The first fully electric motorhome from Knaus Tabbert has completed an extensive test program in recent months. The electric motorhome was taken to its technical limits on performance test benches and the individual components were matched to each other on closed test routes in stop-and-go and continuous operation and tested for everyday use. At the same time, further development steps, such as the implementation of the control software, have been completed. Together with HWA AG - a leading and experienced development partner in motorsport and engineering - Knaus Tabbert is working on the future of caravanning. Because: Many customers want a modern and clean mobility of the future - so the E.POWER DRIVE study is the consistent and logical step towards an electric leisure vehicle: The drive electric motor with up to 180 kW power acts on the front wheels, A range of 90 km in purely electric operation is possible. However, the electric motor can also recuperate when overrun, i.e. generate electrical energy and is fed by the high‐voltage battery installed in the underbody with a capacity of 35 kW. When a defined battery threshold value is reached, the range extender, which is permanently coupled to a generator, automatically jumps in while driving, making inconvenient and time-consuming charging stops unnecessary. The primary task of the REX is to charge the traction battery, but it can also supply electricity directly to the drive motor. At the same time, the range extender also supplies the vehicle's living area with energy.

New in the study: a three-cylinder in-line engine now works under the bonnet, the petrol engine comes from Fiat and has an output of 51 kW – it is permanently coupled to the generator. The specifications for the system range of the E.POWER DRIVE are around 600 kilometers. Furthermore, in the E.POWER DRIVE, electricity is consistently used for cooking and heating. The heater delivers 3 kW and can also be used as air conditioning. Further extensive development steps and tests are still necessary before series launch.

VAN TI PLUS and VAN TI PLUS PLATINUM SELECTION

Since its market launch, the sporty FROM TI PLUS with the highest living comfort and exceptional driving dynamics. For the 2023 model year, it has undergone some optimizations and changes: It now has a new base vehicle, the VW Crafter, which goes perfectly with the "PLUS" of the VAN TI PLUS: modern assistance systems, all-wheel drive on request, 140 hp and 6-speed manual transmission, optionally 177 hp and 8-speed automatic transmission - the new chassis forms an attractive combination with the VAN TI PLUS Unit that impresses with a PLUS in terms of safety and driving dynamics. Thanks to the innovative FoldXPand rear, the vehicle becomes shorter while the living space remains the same.

Both layouts 650 MEG and 700 LF are now also included extensive PLATINUM equipment available, which brings a big price advantage compared to the series model with the appropriate equipment: e.g. B. Chassis in metallic paint INDIUM GRAU, original VW 17" alloy wheels, front bumper painted in vehicle color, manual air conditioning, multifunction steering wheel, rotating driver’s cab seats in KNAUS design, cruise control with speed limiter, fatigue detection, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, navigation system " Discover Media" including "Streaming & Internet" with four loudspeakers, digital radio reception, reversing camera, PREMIUM cabin door, insect protection door, bed extension to the sunbathing area, bed extension in the foot area of the 700 LF (F bed), ACTIVE ROCK upholstery, digital heating control panel Truma CP-Plus, bluuwater water filter system, ambient lighting, 32” smart TV, awning and driver’s cab blackout EXCLUSIVE.

AZUR

As early as the 1980s, it was the premium class of KNAUS caravans, standing for the highest quality and the most modern technology. And so it can only be him who gives the new premium series its name in future‐oriented frame technology: AZUR. The new AZUR combines functionality, comfort and innovative technology. Its frame consists of 22 glued by a robot Fiber Frame-Split. The self-supporting, high-strength frame not only ensures the best stability and durability, but also flexibility in the floor plan and room design. Its UV‐resistant and "self-healing" surface easily removes dents and dents: If an accident occurs and the frame has a scratch (without material removal) through contact with a tree or branch, this will form again through the effect of heat - for example in the sun. Thanks to the high layer density of the frame, scratches (material removal) can be easily removed by grinding and polishing. Along the frame, the caravan has a circumferential, flat integrated awning rail.

The integrated and homogeneously illuminated contour lighting in the side wall makes the new AZUR an eye-catcher on every campsite. Thanks to the innovative FoldXPand technology not only in the rear, but also in the bow, the length of the interior is used perfectly. The rear and front wall as well as the frame are white, the side walls are campovolo gray. The subtle film graphics with fine lines pick up on the dynamic KNAUS swing. Black KNAUS emblems, standard framed windows with privacy glazing and 17" KNAUS light‐alloy rims with black gloss finish underline the modern appearance.

In the interior design of the AZUR, the focus was on livability and valuable materials as well functional solutions placed. The interior is more reminiscent of a modern, inviting loft apartment than a caravan. Dark, cross-grained wood, gray and light surfaces, large windows, fabric covering of the entire roof area and all walls, a comfortable seating area that is actually a couch - the new AZUR impresses with a cozy interior that has a real feel-good factor. During the development of the new caravan, great importance to a holistic lighting concept placed. Not only the natural brightness through the windows, but also the lighting with LED technology sets the scene for the AZUR more than skilfully: The joint bands of all furniture are illuminated, the straight lines of the entire interior are underlined with light and the line of the furniture that favors deliberately offset from the ceiling due to the straight contours is emphasized by a special light band. This was specially developed for KNAUS and consists of several light segments that effectively switch on and off in the style of a "running light" and thus gradually brighten or darken the living space.

Another special feature in the interior: the Smart wall. These are sculpted, fabric-covered surfaces integrated into the wall that can be opened up to use the storage space behind them, e.g. B. set up a coffee maker. There is also storage space behind the upholstery of the seating group - so every available space is used effectively. Cupboards and storage boxes are rear-ventilated for a particularly pleasant and even room climate. This also prevents the formation of possible condensation. All flaps and drawers have a convenient soft close function. In addition, the furniture, similar to the KNAUS motorhomes, skewed. This creates a greater sense of space and optimized lines of sight, and the lying surface of the bed and storage space are also larger.

The spacious kitchen has a three‐flame cooker and a 133 liter refrigerator with automatic energy selection. The sleeping area, which can be separated from the rest of the living room by means of a room divider, is equipped with modern reading lamps and storage compartments. And the bathroom also impresses with its unique design and is less reminiscent of a caravan than of your own bathroom at home.

The AZUR not only impresses with its comfort and functionality - also its very extensive standard equipment leaves no wish unfulfilled. These include e.g. B. a jockey wheel with integrated vertical load display, the PREMIUM cabin door with multiple locking, windows including blackout pleated blinds, umbrella holder and multifunctional bag in KNAUS design, an insect screen door, GRP roof with reduced hail sensitivity, smooth aluminum sheet metal at the front and rear, a wide LED awning light , the KNAUS CATEYE evolution rear lights with exclusive night signature and dynamic indicators in LED technology, a third brake light in the exclusive KNAUS design across the entire width of the vehicle and the bluuwater water filter. For model year 2023, the new AZUR can be ordered in four different layouts of the popular compact body length 500: 500 FU with U‐shaped seating group and French bed, 460 EU, 500 EU, and 540 UE with single beds and U‐shaped seating group.

CUV (Caravaning Utility Vehicle – new vehicle category) – game changer: studies TOURER CUV and TOURER CUVISION

X-Cursion VAN and X-Cursion VAN EDITION [PEPPER]

Completely new, completely WEINSBERG - that's it X Cursion VAN. The sleek partially integrated vehicle is the first WEINSBERG vehicle based on the VW T6.1. The new base vehicle fits perfectly with the authentic, price-conscious WEINSBERG brand and its unique claim to functionality and design. The T6.1 gives the vehicle a new "face" that blends harmoniously with the typical WEINSBERG appearance to form a striking, modern unit. The cosy, stylish interior of the X‐Cursion VAN with wood and warm colors also fits in with this.

The new X‐Cursion VAN is available in two layouts: The 500 LT has a practical swivel bath, ie on one side is the sink, which can be swiveled over the toilet. With a flick of the wrist, a homogeneous shower area with smooth walls is created on the other side. The shower shelves are integrated into the side wall and can therefore be used in both shower and wash mode. In this way, the swivel bath combines two different areas of use with the most efficient use of space. Another special feature of the 500 LT: the fixed seating. There is not just one, but two benches arranged lengthwise. The table between the benches can be widened if necessary. If the cab seats are rotated, a total of six people can sit comfortably at the table - perfect, e.g. B. to invite guests or campsite neighbors. Both layouts of the X‐Cursion VAN have a spacious kitchen with sink, two‐burner stove and 90 liter Thetford compressor refrigerator. CaraLoft and CaraSuite - two new motorhomes on Ford Transit

The WEINSBERG program is expanded. That means more choice for customers. The CaraLoft and CaraSuite models are also new based on the Ford Transit. Both semi-integrated models already offer extensive equipment in the basic version. In addition to on-board computer, cruise control and air conditioning, central locking and a DAB radio with hands-free facility are also standard on board. There are also many practical shelves and plenty of storage space in the driver's cab. Technically, too, the new vehicles represent the state of the art. The 2.0 liter Eco Blue diesel delivers 130 hp and drives the 16 inch front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. A 155 hp drive with a six-speed automatic transmission is also available as an option. ESP including crosswind assistant, traction control and the hillholder function.

A camera-based emergency brake, a lane assistant with drowsiness detection and automatic high beam are also available as options. Whether additional sockets, television with satellite system, GPS tracker to protect against thieves, a navigation system or the styling package with 16-inch alloy wheels and the chassis metallic color magnetic gray - hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled.

The CaraLoft, which is just under seven meters long, is the 650 MF. The special feature: thanks to the French bed at the back right, the line of sight from front to back remains free and conveys a generous feeling of space. Two layouts are available: as a 6,99 meter model 650 MEG or as a 7,42 meter long 700 MEG. In addition to the central pull-down bed, both versions also have individual longitudinal beds in the rear and can be recognized from the outside by the distinctive "wave" in the roof. The double pull-down bed is accessed via a ladder, which is otherwise stowed away by the door in the bathroom. Another highlight in the kitchen area: the foldable worktop extension can now be used "continuously" without offsetting the levels. And: The new two-flame cooker is made with the sink from "one piece" - this makes cleaning the gas stove much easier.

OWN: Individual design for X-CURSION and PEPPER-MB models

Individuality will be even more important at WEINSBERG in the future. Under the motto "Personal Style by WEINSBERG", the popular manufacturer of leisure vehicles is offering the new OWN refinement line. Initially for the two versions of the CaraCompact [PEPPER] models on Mercedes-Benz and also for the new X-CURSION on Volkswagen Bulli 6.1, customization offers are now possible. The entire front of the OWN models radiates powerful dynamics. This is due to the new radiator grille in connection with the optimized front apron. In addition, high-sheen 18-inch alloy wheels add further dynamic accents to the overall appearance of the vehicles. The ventilation grilles of the Pepper MB motorhomes can also be refined with fins known from motorsport.

CaraBus and CaraTour

They are true success stories - the WEINSBERG camper vans CaraBus and CaraTour. And the new season brings a breath of fresh air, with which the two continue on their road to success: CaraBus and CaraTour are now also available Ford Transit - and this combination fits more than well: even more headroom (205 cm), lots of generous storage space, a huge transverse bed and a unique price‐performance ratio.

There is ample storage space next to the cooker and in the niches in the rear wall of the kitchen. The spacious full-body overhead lockers offer plenty of space, as does the garage. Thanks to the thermal bridge-optimized insulation, there is always a pleasant room climate and even in winter, the WEINSBERG camper vans are ideal for camping, also thanks to the standard diesel heating.

TABBERT PEP PANTIGA

"Last a lifetime" - with this promise, TABBERT not only vouches for the high quality of the materials used and solid craftsmanship, but also for trend-oriented design and the integration of state-of-the-art technology. The customer and his environment are at the center of every development step. All caravanning fans will find the right caravan for them at TABBERT, which fully corresponds to their ideas of travel. And if possible for a lifetime. With the launch of the new PEP PANTIGA the TABBERT development team has therefore created a new dimension of mobility.

Yes, there was already a TABBERT PEP. However, if you want to find similarities, you will search in vain. The only thing it has in common with the PANTIGA 2023 is that it should "step out of line" and deliberately look different than the other TABBERT model series that are consistently based on one another. The new PEP PANTIGA was developed entirely in-house. The goal: a combination of trendy design and modern technology with an intelligent interior design tailored to an active, young type of holiday. PANTIGA - the name stands for adventure and for places that want to be discovered: "Pan" ("total") describes a model with a claim to leadership. The "Tiger" promises elegance and strength.

The exterior of the PEP PANTIGA is reserved and at the same time distinctive tone-in-tone: the white foil with a glitter effect stands out on the white, matt background. The most outstanding feature of the PANTIGA, not only visually, are the large saloon windows in the rear area on both sides. They also ensure a generous atmosphere in the interior and sometimes even determine the furnishing concept. The rear of the vehicle is characterized by the fenders, between which a light strip style window is mounted (on 390 WD and 550 E). In keeping with its appearance, the PEP PANTIGA is supplied with a distinctive 15” aluminum rim in white. For quick access from outside, the water tank and power connection have been combined in a service module. In addition, the new PANTIGA comes with this as standard Dyonic chassis made of high-strength steel. The innovative construction with cut-outs in the straps saves weight and at the same time improves stability. The chassis was developed by Knaus Tabbert together with the well-known company Knott, from which the rubber spring axles and the electronic stabilization system (ETS) also come. Optionally, the chassis can be equipped with a trailer control, a jockey wheel with an integrated nose weight indicator and a spare wheel mounted under the floor.

The interior of the PEP PANTIGA impresses with a completely new caravan design: no upper cabinets on the sides, instead two high windows. The living area is not only more light-flooded and brighter, but also friendlier and even more open. The matt white wall units in the rear and in the kitchen remain visually unobtrusive thanks to their linear, handleless design. The comfortable, modern seating furniture creates more of a room than a caravan. Three upholstery combinations in warm sunset colors, cool shades of gray or fabric and imitation leather create an individual character. Well thought-out details – such as comfort blinds, a table with a wooden edge and wall elements covered with fabric – in combination with the light panels embedded in the panels and the matching ceiling light give the PANTIGA a relaxed, feel-good character. The standard transportable induction hob in the kitchen drawer is user-oriented and extremely practical. A glass cover hides the sink and a waste separation system is available for the lower drawer on request. The 230V and USB connections in the living area are cleverly hidden in the storage compartments. The compartments themselves are discreetly integrated into the correspondingly worked out inner walls.

The PEP PANTIGA is available in three layouts aimed at different target groups: The compact 390 WD is designed for active holidays with a spontaneous change of location – with a combined living room and bedroom for two people with a folding bed instead of fixed beds and therefore all the more freedom of movement during the day. Almost iconic for the active PANTIGA lifestyle, it is as flexible as it is versatile with its comfortable sofa benches, which can be converted into a spacious and comfortable bed measuring 204 x 156 cm in just a few simple steps. The popular single bed layout 550 E scores with a fully functional shower thanks to the swiveling washbasin element. Daylight from both sides and optionally through a panoramic skylight floods the airy and brightly designed sleeping area in the front. On the sides there are cupboards adapted to the flowing shape of the bow for plenty of storage space. Six spotlights cast the brand-typical TABBERT diamond pattern on the wall. Practically thought out: Removable boxes with handles are available for the bed boxes in the 550 E and 550 K to make optimum use of the storage space. There is still enough space underneath for a folding table and chairs or other accessories. The best way to travel with children is in the 550 K with a bunk bed that can be quickly and easily converted into an additional bench seat. By folding down the upper bed, it serves as a backrest.

The option offers even more independence ONE-NIGHT-STAND with battery docking station and high-performance exchangeable battery Power X-Change from Einhell. The option provides enough power to be electrically self-sufficient with the caravan for up to one night. Thanks to the Power X-Change system, the battery can also be used at home, e.g. B. can be used for many Einhell garden devices or tools.

T @ B

Timeless classic and cult “smokeball” – the teardrop-shaped caravan T @ B The retro design can only be improved in details and continues successfully into the 2023 model year. The cult caravan stands for lifestyle, fun and a thirst for adventure. Not only does he have a huge following, he even has his own superhero (T@BMAN). It doesn't matter whether you like it colorful or simple - the T@B leaves nothing to be desired and can be designed individually: It is available in the four styles BASIC, MEXICAN SUNSET, METROPOLIS (each as layout 320 and 400) and OFFROAD (320) and available with five different upholstery colors. With a double bed, comfortable seating area, kitchen and bluuwater water filter, the T@B has everything a camper’s heart desires – and proves its true size on the inside, where it appears larger than on the outside. With optional equipment, the caravan can be further adapted to different needs. So if you're looking for something special, you've come to the right place. Picture credits: KNAUS TABBERT AG

While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
