Teardrop Camper Trailer “The Boulder” for Electric Vehicles!

A camper trailer as a mobile charging solution for e-vehicles? The manufacturer Colorado teardrops is on its way there and presents the “The Boulder“, as a teardrop prototype designed specifically for electric vehicles. Not only is it aerodynamically shaped and state-of-the-art, it even has an integrated battery with it so that it can charge almost any electric vehicle. Specifically it is a 75 kWh battery system in the bottom of the trailer, which Colorado Teardrops says is capable of Level 3 level charge the e-vehicle. Specifically, a range of around 10 miles (approx. 100 km) should be available in 161 minutes. However, this is an estimate. Incidentally, a Stromer should be charged to 80% capacity in around 80 minutes. And level 1 charging over one J1772 connector is also possible. Incidentally, The Boulder can be charged like any other electric vehicle if the trailer battery is empty. In terms of weight, the trailer is Aluminum frame and powder coated steel frame specified with approx. 1 ton.

That's fine, albeit a fair bit heavier than a typical teardrop pendant. However, the trailer can still be towed with all commercially available electric vehicles. In the cabin there is a Queen size bed and two little ones bunks, for sleeping two adults and two children. The sleep system can also be integrated into an Edining area with seating and table are transformed.

The manufacturer also installs one at the rear outdoor kitchen with fold-out shelves and large worktop. Enough Storage space is available under the counter, which optionally has a pull-out Shelve for a cool box. And more Storage space are in the aluminum fenders and under the floor. As an extra you can heating and air conditioning, Propane gas, hot water, Sonnenkollektoren , and a awning system order. However, the series product is relatively expensive at around 55.000 US dollars.
