Before washing the engine: what do you need?

  • Pressure Washer, suitable detergent and a washcloth.
  • protective gear such as safety goggles and gloves to prevent hazards with cleaning agents or dirt.

Now it's time for the engine wash:

  • It is important that the engine is not hot and the negative terminal of the battery is disconnected.
  • First, remove the coarse dirt with a high-pressure cleaner.

  • Apply the appropriate cleaning agent to the areas and leave it on for a few minutes, depending on the instructions for use.

This type of engine wash can cause damage to the vehicle. Depending on the model, entering water is a major hazard. It is therefore essential to be careful with the high-pressure cleaner and not to apply it too closely.

  1. I want to do an engine wash. Good to know that you should dismantle some parts beforehand, as they are not made for this. It's best to have a professional do it.
