1965 Volvo Amazone Station Wagon as Restomod with Airride!

This 1965 Volvo Amazon station wagon as Restomod is a real surprise! Why? Because he's just different. The unique piece was Speed ​​Hunters Magazine photographed and discovered at the Oslo Motor Show 2021. Countless hours have been alone invested in the body and the result is stunning. The entire body was done down to the bare metal stripped, it has been re-tinned, primed with epoxy resin and freshly painted inside, out and underneath. Every single chrome detail has been meticulously restored and even all windows are new. All the rubbers are also new. The main headlights have also been revised and fitted with blue-tinted reflectors. And something has also happened with the chassis.

The station wagon stands on high-performance tires and has a larger brake system installed, but the highlight is clearly the enlarged original rims, which now measure 17 inches and are 7,5 inches wide at the front and 9,25 inches at the rear. Even the cabin has been sort of 110% restored. The interior of the Amazon was namely in a miserable condition, so that it had to be reworked from the bottom plate onwards. The wiring was re-laid, the soundproofing brought up to date and the floor was then lined with blue suede. In combination with the specially made interior fittings in the color of the paintwork on the outside, the Mugello Classico steering wheel with wooden rim by Luisi Italy or the custom made nardishift knob, the ultimate uniqueness is guaranteed.

A large part of this, but also the redesigned door panels and small details such as the PyreneFire Extinguisher. And the clean style continues in the rear of the Swede. The Air Lift Performance 3P is now located where the spare wheel was previously installed in a recess under the floor of the trunk Air suspension system with two Viair 444C compressors. The specially made housing even has a plexiglass window installed and the engine compartment is at least as spectacular. The Volvo Sport B18 engine delivers around 130 hp and is mostly in original condition. However, an incredible amount of parts have been sandblasted and powder coated and all nuts, bolts and brackets are zinc plated or painted.

Also in the engine compartment there are details like the chic Brake booster, the two SU HS6 Air Filter, the copper ones Brake Lines or the 123Ignition electronic ignition that make the difference.
