1969 BMW 2002 with a successful wide body look!

When is the last time you have one BMW 02 seen in the wild? The legendary sports sedan from Dingolfing has become extremely rare and is therefore a coveted classic. It has been more than 50 years since the model left the factory, and a car like this usually lasts much less than half a century. However, we think it's great that some examples of the 02 series have survived and today we present one of the most extraordinary projects that have ever been carried out with a 2002 project vehicle.

Completely clean look!

At first it is hard to believe that this is the vehicle not It's a rendering, but a real car, as unusual as the 02 from 1969 looks. He became complete cleared, his bumpers removed in front and back and held on to it fender flares at the sports sedan. That is also not commonplace Color called pistachio green, which gives the car a dynamic and sporty flair.

Of course it has tuners and owners Paul Lefevre, who earns his living full-time as a surfboard builder, also carried out other tuning measures, such as a Lowering and installing wider tires. It is hard to believe, however, that the entire body is made of carbon fibers, and that it costs a lot if you damage the vehicle in any way, be it just a small scratch. Paul Lefevre was of course able to incorporate his experience as a surfboard designer into the project, and the gentle curves and curved lines are reminiscent of the streamline of a high-quality surfboard.

Classic looking Drop center rims with a silver tread and gray finish, which come up with a BBS-like honeycomb design, create a motorsport atmosphere on the classic 02 series. Incidentally, it took a whole year for tuner Paul to complete the project, and there were countless hours of work in the masterpiece that would make every visitor green with envy if you drove it to a BMW meeting.

M3 engine ensures excellent driving performance

If you consider that the vehicle, due to the extensive use of carbon fibers, is only 816 kg brings on the scales, and thus around half of today's mid-range car, then they appear 210 PSthe engine generates a lot of wood. The engine has a displacement of 2,3 liters, four cylinders and originally drove one M3 generation E30

We are sure that the flyweight could surprise, especially on the racetrack, because, thanks to manual Transmission, rear-wheel drive and the low curb weight, driving pleasure should be guaranteed. But the Dingolfing classic is also turning the heads of car enthusiasts on the boulevard.

Our Conclusion for the 1969 BMW 2002:

An extremely cool and artistic project that shows a completely new form of design in the tuning area. We are excited about what tuner Paul Lefevre has created and we give our thumbs up. We have added a picture gallery of the car at the end of the article. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report.
