Ringbrothers 1969 Dodge Charger "CAPTIV" with Hellcat engine!

At the other end of the world, namely in New Zealand, there are crazy car fans who have a heart for American classics. One of them is an ex-racing driver Greg Murphywho has achieved legendary status in New Zealand and is now dreaming of his own Restomod creation fulfilled. Believe it or not, but this one Dodge Charger was first rebuilt by a New Zealand tuning team before traveling over 12.000 kilometers to shine in full glory in the USA. The whole company was made by Greg Murphy together with the ring Brothers and since Greg is known to be based in New Zealand and the Ringbrothers are based in the USA, the incredible collaboration was carried out on two different continents. It took years to complete the project, but now the result is more than impressive. We don't want to withhold the vehicle from you, of course, and present the 1969 Dodge Charger "CAPTIV".

A restomod dream in yellow!

New in a shade called Pile Up-Yellow painted, the Charger is certainly not to everyone's taste. For many Restomod fans, it may be a bit too colorful, but others will find it great. However, its technical finesse, such as the adjustable ones, cannot be overlooked Suspension shocks from QA1 or the all around installed Disc brakes (6 pistons) from Baer, which ensure optimal deceleration and thus safety in all situations. The will also be controversial HRE rims in five-spoke star design, which come up with a black finish, and are usually found on modern automobiles, but not on classics.

From our point of view, the massive looking aluminum would look even better on a current Dodge Charger than the more filigree looking oldi from 1969. On the rims Tires of the Michelin brand pulled by the Pilot Sport 4S type. The Ami also has noticeable ventilation slots in the bonnet, which ensure that the new engine, which we will talk about later, receives enough cooling air. Both the Exterior mirror caps, the door handles as well as the Emblems Dyed black to give the look a certain finesse that ensures that the car cannot be overlooked.

Modern technology moved into the interior!

True to the motto of retro-futuristics, that was Cockpit of the Charger completely modernized. Comfort and technology features such as digital Instruments or a Infotainment system, which can be controlled via an iDrive-like controller, can now be found in the Dodge. Also a bowl, flattened at the bottom Carbon sports steering wheel testifies to the modern style of the interior, which at first seems a bit strange due to the new technology, since it is an automobile from the year 69.

6,2 liter Hellcat V8 supercharged

Let's get to the heart of the Charger, and that's what it's all about! No less engine than the legendary Hellcat V8 with compressor and 717 PS got the honor to drive the probably unique project! Enormous 881 Newtonmeter maximum torque try to gradually destroy the rear tires and at the same time provide endless power! We don't know anything about the performance, but the power is transmitted via a Six-speed manual on the - probably hopelessly overwhelmed - rear wheels.

Our Conclusion for the 1969 Dodge Charger Restomod:
