Every now and then we look to the auctions of Barrett-Jackson. And this time at the 2019 Palm Beach auction there was a Chevrolet Chevelle from 1970 to be marveled at and up for auction, which came up as a typical Restomod project with new technology in an old dress. Of course, it has been completely restored and placed on a Schwartz Performing Race chassis. Apart from a matt black finish with striking red stripes, the look is almost unchanged at first glance - at least for the layman. Many modern components and modern technology can only be seen in the details. A 480 hp 376ci LS3-6,2-liter V8 that is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission (L780) works under the hood. The power is transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels and here you rely on high-quality three-piece forged rims from the Forgeline shelf with Michelin tires.

A look through the spokes reveals a revised 6 piston brake system with 14 inch brake discs from BAER and even a RideTech air suspension has been donated to the Chevelle. In addition innumerable small details such as the highly modern headlights, new fog lights, red taillights and even the turn signals come with technology from the modern times. Next there was a stainless steel fuel tank, it has cool new door handles installed and closed the AMI by means of power canvas canopy including glass windows. And then there would be the dreamlike interior in red. Here there was high-quality leather to the last gap and to new instrument cluster, an 3-spoke aluminum leather steering wheel, stylish accents aluminum and even a navigation system including Pioneer sound system with 8 speakers (2500 Watt) is on board.

Again, there are the many small details such as the aluminum pedal, the beautiful cup holder in the middle or the handmade floor mats that make the overall impression so fascinating. Even a state-of-the-art keyless-go access without a key is installed and in such gimmicks, the power windows and the central locking system are almost incidental. If we get an info about the price of the car, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is just ours Feed subscribe to.
