In 1969 it was Mustang Mach 1 started as the successor to the 68 GT, and the dream car for everyone for whom a Shelby or a Boss was too aggressive. As a result, many business people on the American continent also drove a Mach 1, while the other two sporty Mustang offshoots were more reserved for the autoposer group and therefore, at least in North and South America, acquired a somewhat dubious image over the years. the Mustang Mach 1, about which we are reporting to you today, is doing its rounds in Brazil, and changed hands in 2014 for little money. It was then taken over by its current owner Carlos Eduardo painstakingly restored and modified by hand.
1971er Ford Mustang Mach 1
Although the tuner, who is a sports teacher by profession, grew up with oldies, it was his first Restomod project, and we will now present that to you in more detail. Exaggerated showmanship or even styleless elements are in vain on the 71 Mustang Mach 1. The car whose restoration It took one and a half years to complete, in our opinion it has been very stylishly restored and, in contrast to many US restomods, dispenses with various bling-bling.
Externally in bright orange dipped, and with one black hood equipped with two large air scoops, the thunderbolt immediately signals that it belongs to the creme de la creme of muscle cars of its era. There are also various black details installed on the car, such as the rear wing as well as black trim on the doors. A highlight of the car are those Rimsthat were bought at the tire specialist Rallye Som in Curitiba, Brazil, and with their timeless five-spoke look set an exclamation point in terms of design and style. At the front the rims have a diameter of 18 inchwhile on the rear axle 20 incher were installed. As a result, tuner Carlos Eduardo achieved an extremely sleek look, which goes well with the 71 Mustang Mach 1.
The way food is brakes have been revised and have been upgraded, which unfortunately we do not know how it turned out exactly. But we are quite sure that this vehicle would also find its fans in Europe and the USA and that it would be one of the highlights at every meeting for classic American automobiles.
A dream from the 70s.
The cockpit takes us on a journey through time and exudes the sporty luxury of the 1970s. Perfect restauriert, and left completely natural, it embodies style and elegance. Modern gimmicks like Digital instruments or a big one screen the car doesn't need it, and that's a good thing.
A 5,9-liter V8 drives the classic.
Acts as a drive Ford 361 FE block engine with eight cylinders, the later with a Holley 4160 carburetor that the tuner imported from the USA especially for the project. The unit performs about after the revision 315 HP and more than 550 Newton meters maximum torque. The power is transmitted via a Manual transmission to the rear wheels. Thus, the car should offer good performance even for today's conditions, although unfortunately we have no data on it.
