On the auction platform worldwide-auctioneers.com This Chevrolet C50 pickup truck is currently for sale. And if we publish such a vehicle on tuningblog.eu then it goes without saying that no series vehicle arrives here or one "just" has been restored. This example is a so-called Restomod vehicle which means that modern components have been stuffed into an old body. The basis for this is a Chevrolet C50 from 1972 which is not only a good deal shorter, but also has a thick V8 with a carburettor under the hood. The vehicle is of course completely restored and gutted from the ground up. And in the course of the restoration, the body was shortened by a good 3 meters. Approximately 1,50 meters behind the driver's cab were removed and the remaining 1,50 meters can be reached with a shortened overhang at the rear. On the other hand, the twin tires at the rear are still present and even the paint is in the original green from 1972. In addition, the body received shapely fender flares all around and is largely "clean".

Should be called unnecessary trim, chrome applications and other Geschnörkel are not present. There are nice details such as a noble real wood cargo area, the beautiful wheels are painted in bright white and as a special highlight is located under the hood of an 5,7 liter V8 Chevy engine. It's completely redesigned and paired with an 350-V8 4 gearbox that sends power to an 2 rear gear. As a result, 8 forward gears are available which can be graded for heavy loads, making the C50 a real workhorse. But if you look at the vehicle so you wonder if you really Work would like to or simply cruise comfortably across the country.
there is only the bare essentials in the cabin
Because even the restored cabin does not really give the impression that construction workers are welcome here with a blue jacket and muddy boots. The green / blue interior was namely lined with new leather and here you have the paint on the outside oriented. The highlights inside are definitely the classic round instruments, the three-spoke steering wheel and the patina look of yesteryear. The Chevrolet C50 pickup with shortened wheelbase and the chassis number CCE532V121359 should probably be almost indestructible for the next decades and with good care a real investment. If we receive timely information about further changes to the series, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is just ours Feed subscribe to.
