This week was official Presentation of the new Ford Bronco and since then it has also been established that at least € 26.500 (29.995 US dollars) will be due for the base model. But for this example from 1976 the price for the upcoming Barrett-Jackson auction is an incredible 195.250,00 dollars. There are "six" brand new Ford Bronco and each of them could receive a little special equipment. However, none of the new models would have a V8 crate engine under the hood, as is the case with this vehicle. The Bronco with chassis number U15GLA61346 from 1976 is a typical one Restomod vehicle with countless components from the present. The beautiful silhouette and the classic details from back then are still available in full. Does that justify the huge sum of $ 195.250? We think so!
Roadster Shop RS4 chassis
Because the Bronco is building on a new Roadster Shop RS4 chassis, which alone costs $ 36.495. There is also a state-of-the-art Fox chassis, high-performance disc brakes all round and independent wheel suspension on the front axle. As an absolute highlight, the already mentioned Ford Coyote V8 works under the hood as a so-called Crate engine (Box motor) with an output of 460 HP and 570 NM torque, which in addition to the standard old Broncos from back then, in particular also easily outshines the new Bronco. The engine is coupled to a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission and the power is transmitted to massive 35-inch (0,89 m) all-round tires. The new model can only keep up here, because we only got yesterday a current copy on 35 inches shown. However, the vehicle from 1976 has 12 inches (approx. 30 cm) of travel on the front axle and 13 inches (approx. 33 cm) on the rear axle. With this, the oldie sits down in front of the youngster again without any problems.
Leather interior in light brown
And the interior is in no way inferior to the modern cabin of the 2021 model generation. The Ur-Bronco has received a completely new leather interior in light brown, which not only covers the seats, but also adorns the door panels, the load space, the center console and the shift bag of the manual transmission. Regarding the technology used, it should also be mentioned that the vehicle was given modern air conditioning from 1976 and uses Dakota digital displays to provide the driver with all important key data on the speed driven and the engine. There was also a sound system with 6 speakers and many small details such as the 3-spoke steering wheel or two chic cup holders in the middle.
a convertible thanks to the removable roof
In combination with the dark green paint on the body, the interior is an absolute eye-catcher and the many other details such as the flush-mounted windows from the removable roof, the new apron with WARNINGwinch, the perfectly integrated matt black Roll cage or the fender flares attached with exposed screw connections as well as the simple rear apron Backup camera round off the unique piece impressively. Hopefully it goes without saying that we have not listed all the changes. The conversion is so extensive that we could easily have filled two more pages. Have fun looking at the pictures and stay true to us!
