A vintage Ferrari is always a very special collector's item. Above all, the world famous one 250 GTO from 1978, of which only 36 were made by hand, is the measure of all things when it comes to exorbitantly expensive classics from the sports car manufacturer in Maranello. One of these models holds the current world record when it comes to the most expensive automobile ever auctioned. A red 250 GTO achieved the unbelievable sum of 80 million US dollars at an auction. The Restomod project we presented is much cheaper than the record-breaking Ferrari, but at 565.000 British pounds it is still anything but a bargain.

Ferrari mix, from various models.

This Ferrari that we are introducing to you today is absolutely unique, which is from Project Heaven Co-founder Will Tomkins was built. It took over 15 years to complete the vehicle and the chassis is, for example, a modified copy of a burned-out Ferrari 400i. The body of the unique project is made of aluminum and was made by hand. The suspension, however, comes from the Ferrari 365 GT4, and the width is 10 cm more than the original. Such a project of course consumes a lot of man hours, which is why it took 15 years to create the unique Ferrari. Usually are Restomods More likely to be found in the US car scene, but lately there have been more and more European classic cars that are being rebuilt and equipped with modern engines and chassis components. In our opinion, this is a particularly beautiful specimen and certainly one of the most expensive that has ever been for sale.

The interior is completely in the style of the 250 GTO.

In the interior, one notices nothing of the modern automotive era, as it was kept completely in the racing car style of the 1970s. All fittings and the steering wheel have been rebuilt in a contemporary style, and exude the masculine charm of old Ferraris.

V12 suction gasoline engine from the Ferrari 575M Maranello.

Under the transparent bonnet, the heart of a Ferrari 575M Maranello beats in the bow, which has 12 cylinders and is allowed to breathe freely. The revised engine that was modified by Project Heaven generates over 600 hp and 600 Newton meters of torque. Nothing is known about the performance, but it should certainly be at today's sports car level, because the power-to-weight ratio is well below 3kg / PS. With the engine, the Restomod Ferrari has about twice the power of the legendary Colombo V12, which was used in the 250 GTO and which still makes Ferrari fans from all over the world rave. The maximum speed is unfortunately not known, but this vehicle is not made to clear the left lane on the autobahn, but to cruise on country roads and enjoy the infernal sound of the free-sucking V12 gasoline engine. Incidentally, the power is transmitted via a six-speed manual transmission, which is operated via a gate gear.

Unique piece for solvent Ferraristi.

As already mentioned above, it is not a cheap pleasure to buy this unique project vehicle. The solvent buyer currently has to shell out 565.000 British pounds to be able to call this Ferrari his / her property. For all Ferrari fans who, considering the price, can only dream of it, we have of course provided a large picture gallery that we have attached to the article. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply do ours Feed subscribe to.
