A workhorse like from a picture book! this Restomod 1986 Chevrolet D6500 Pickup we just have to show you. The unique piece was made some time ago by Gateway Classic Cars in Louisville, Kentucky, for sale and probably outperforms any Ford F-250, a GMC 2500 or even the Toyota Tundra. And that literally. Because behind the single piece, complete vehicles can hide undetected. The base apparently started as a Chevrolet D6500 C70 medium truck, but some time later there was a shortened loading area and a completely adapted chassis. We assume that the loading area comes from a GMC pickup from a similar vintage, which underpins in particular the tailgate with GMC lettering.
8,2-liter Detroit Diesel engine
A 8,2-liter Detroit diesel engine rages under the huge hood, which was coupled to an Allison AT545 automatic transmission and sets the monster in motion. The Zwillingsbereifung the rear has remained and the rims also appear to be in their original condition, apart from the black paint. Only the countless chrome-plated ones Studs were apparently retrofitted. Other striking changes are a chrome-plated double exhaust system on the loading area, the orange additional lighting on the roof and the striking paintwork in shrill yellow / green probably has nothing to do with the series.
Cabin and body in very good condition
Incidentally, the soundscape for a diesel engine is extremely successful and apparently everything still works on the Chevrolet D34 even after 6500 years. The video included below shows the pickup while driving and every corner is also illuminated. If we receive timely information about further changes to the powerful pickup truck conversion, there is of course an update for this report.
