2008 Honda S2000 CR sold for $125.000!

The prices for JDM vehicles currently only know one direction. Straight up! So it is not surprising that even a relatively new vehicle fetches top prices. In this case it is one Honda S2000 CR from 2008. The model, of which only around 700 were built, was sold at an auction on the auction platform Bring a trailer incredible $125.000. This makes it the second most expensive S2000 ever to be auctioned online. The vehicle was sold with only 6.000 miles (approx. 9.656 km) on the odometer and is now third-hand. The car has a full service history and comes with several keys and all important documents. At the time of the auction it was registered in Florida!

Blue racer for sporty moments!

Apex Blue is the color in which the dream car was delivered. This CR version differs from the normal S2000 by a redesigned front, a black hardtop and a fixed rear wing. A look at the equipment list proves the fact that the car has original Honda CR rims. Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires were mounted on these. To distinguish itself from the basic version, the S2000 CR also has modified springs, harder shock absorbers and a shorter steering ratio.

The interior has been upgraded!

Honda also lent a hand in the interior to lift the CR version off the base. For example, the seats are covered with black Alcantara and have yellow topstitching. And due to the low mileage, the cockpit is in like-new condition. And the engine? A 2-litre V-TEC naturally aspirated petrol engine with a liter output of 120 hp/l has an output of 240 hp. Only at over 9.000 rpm does the engine stop rotating and the rev limiter switches on. It is shifted via a manual six-speed gearbox and the power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels. This results in a driving machine of the purest water, with which you can have a lot of fun mainly on country roads.

Our conclusion on the Honda S2000 CR:

$125.000 is a lot of money, and it's up to the buyer to decide for themselves if the S2000 is worth it. We are conflicted on this issue as while it is an upcoming classic it has had two previous owners. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
