The tuner Abarth extends the 595 model line punctually to the Geneva Motor Show which begins this week. Included is the new one 595 Pista! According to the Italian word for 'racetrack', the Mobile are especially sold to sports-oriented customers. And the plan could work. A highlight is the fact that the new 595 Pista is not only offered as a coupé, but also as an open convertible version, which will attract more buyers. There is variety in the body, which can be ordered in 5 paint colors. There are Gara White, Abarth Red, Campovolo Gray, Record Gray and the subtle Scorpione Black. All paintwork can be combined with color-contrasting accents. For example, you can order the inlays for the front and rear aprons or the rearview mirror caps and the brake calipers of the revised brake system in either black, red or yellow. On the other hand, the door handles and the Pista logo in noble titanium are visually separated. The matt black painted aluminum rims in lush 17 inches with their 205 tires also fit perfectly and fill the fenders nicely. Incidentally, a set of fog lights is included as standard.

Anyone who invests a few euros more for the Abarth relocates the radio antenna on the coupe in the vehicle roof, which is very beneficial to the look. Xenon headlights, tinted side and rear windows and a 595 Sky Dome sliding glass roof can also be ordered as an extra for the Coupe. In the convertible, however, an electric folding top and a reversing warning system are available at the rear as standard. And the inside is exclusive too. The driver and front passenger take up height-adjustable sports seats with fabric covers; these are of course also optionally available in leather. The standard equipment also includes a leather sports steering wheel with zero mark, air conditioning and a 7-inch infotainment display. If you opt for the optional Uconnect system, the display is exchanged for a touchscreen display of the same size that offers all modern functions such as digital radio reception (DAB) or music settings (including AUX-IN and USB ports) or a Bluetooth add-on including Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Especially for the Abarth there is a submenu with an Abarth telemetry system, for example to import various race track data, which can then be called up on various track days.

It is thus possible to have detailed map views and to record lap times in real time. Cool thing… 😎 And since connectivity is everything these days, the driver can use the online function of the infotainment system to access Twitter or Facebook directly and log in. But not only that, if you want you can also stream over 35 million songs from Deezer or select more than 100.000 radio stations via TuneIn. Gimmicks such as real-time traffic warnings are included directly in the calculation of the ongoing navigation of the TomTom navigation system. In addition to the optional Uconnect package, there is also the Premium Beats sound system including 6 speakers. A large subwoofer then provides more bass and so the cabin of the 595 then sprinkles a whopping 440 watts. Automatic air conditioning or an automatically dimming interior mirror are also available for the 595 Pista on request. So that the 160PS & 230NM come to a standstill, there are internally ventilated and perforated brake discs with a lush 284 millimeters diameter at the front and quite large 240 millimeter discs at the rear. The rear wheels of the Pista are equipped with Koni shock absorbers including FSD technology and ensure the necessary sportiness and performance. So that you can hear the whole thing, the 595 also gets a Record Monza exhaust system with 4 eye-catching tailpipes at the rear and so the entire speed range is perfectly supported.
