Wörthersee 2019: Audi TT Safari with 400 PS in the area

Audi has for the upcoming Wörthersee meeting in Reifnitz (29.05 – 01.06.2019) something very special in tow. The "Audi TT Safari"! A copy of the current model generation FV / 8S (third generation of the Audi TT). The project was implemented by the apprentices of AUDI AG and will complement the TT Clubsport Turbo (left in the picture above) in Reifnitz. However, this will not be the first appearance because the special specimen was already on view at the XS CARNIGHT in Klagenfurt. As spectacular as the TT Safari is, serial production is 99,9% impossible - Damage! The TT shows up with completely changed body. The revised RS apron front with large spoiler lip is still the most likely to recognize as a component of Audi but looks different it already on the grille with additional 4 headlights and of course the screwed fender flares all around.

And also at the rear a lot has happened. Here is a really cool apron inspired by the component from TT off-road concept from the year 2014 with two round integrated tailpipes. And also a three-piece spoiler lip on the tailgate is installed. The absolute highlight, however, is in any case the missing rear window in its place are now two full-size spare wheels with special bracket. And of course these are not wheels. The TT Safari comes with coarse offroad tires and a satin black painted wheelset. And there were also a few millimeters increase in height and all in all, this vehicle could well be a befitting successor for the VW Beetle Dune be built as a special model 2016. But the TT is much bigger and ultimately much stronger.

no rear window, but spare wheels

He has that VW EA855 evo five-cylinder engine built by the TTRS, which is known to deliver 400 PS & 480 NM. The sprint to 100 km / h should be done in 4,5 seconds at the latest, including the off-road tires. And finally, it is also the striking motorsport design based on the Audi 200 Safari with the colors black / silver and yellow that contributes to the extremely successful appearance. The yellow accents are also found in the extensively revised interior with Alcantara / leather interior and chic Safari TT door sills. Should we promptly receive information on further changes - in particular to the installed chassis - There is of course an update for this report.
