Finally an Audi with the popular 2,5-liter TFSI five-cylinder! The 2020 Audi RS Q3 (Base: Type F3) is now available with 400 PS & 480 NM torque (Speed range from 1.950 to 5.850 revolutions per minute) in the starting blocks. And the Ingolstadt do not just settle for the new edition with the RS Q3 but also put him a nice brother in the form of the RS Q3 SUV coupe Sportback at the side. Both bear in front the well-known single-frame radiator grille whose frame is no longer colored. Similar to the new RS6 and RS7, the apron is shaped at the front and the small air intake between the grille and bonnet is now also visible on the RS Q3. The variant Sportback with 1557 mm height is exactly 45 millimeters flatter compared to the normal Q3 and both vehicles get 10 mm wider fenders.

Five-cylinder gasoline engine from the Audi RS3

The most important is of course under the hood. You potters the well-known five-cylinder gasoline engine (VW EA855evo) with 2,5 liters displacement from the RS3 and also in the SUV makes this 400 PS and 480 Newton meters maximum torque. Enough power to accelerate in combination with the seven-speed automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive in just 4,5 seconds to 100 km / h and up to 250 km / h, the jacking is hardly less. Optionally, even 280 km / h are in it! For the sake of honesty, however, it should be mentioned that, for example, the competition from Munich here comes up with 510 PS in X3 M and X4 M. This is not easy in the series trim for the Ingolstadt but which is not the direct competitor of the X3. Further optical features are the twin exhaust system with RS typical rear tailpipes, a roof spoiler in black, a lowering of 10 mm, 20 or 21-inch Alus and a six-piston steel brake system with ventilated and perforated brake discs.

RS design packages in red or blue

The cabin has special RS displays in the digital dashboard, there are RS sport seats in leather or Alcantara and if you choose one of the RS design packages in red or blue, the RS Q3 has color accents on the steering wheel rim, the gear lever, the belt straps and also on the floor mats. However, a completely black interior is also available for the first time. And then there is the new “Kyalami green” paintwork which, as one of two specific colors on the RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback, definitely attracts a lot of attention. At most, “Fridays for Future” will probably not be so well received (and the entire vehicle). Have fun looking at the pictures and videos and stay true to us!
