Powerful part - 2020 Carlex Design Mercedes X-Class!

And goodbye! The X-Class from Mercedes is history again! The last copies are currently still sold. But why? Did the pick-up fail primarily because of its Nissan upgrade image? Or maybe the price too high? Or maybe both? We do not know it! What we know, there are currently around 60 X-Class vehicles to buy from various branches that are suitable as the basis for a Carlex design conversion. Because the tuner has had this for several years X-Class Exy Extreme kit at the start that this copy from 2020 also received. The W470 thus mutates into a Dodge Ram or Ford F-150 competitor. At least as powerful and at least as impressive! The X-Class may share its most important features with the Nissan Navara, but with the modifications from Carlex it becomes much more noble than the Japanese. And the conversion is even the Carlex Exy Extreme + version.

Compared to the "normal Exy Extreme“The variant with the plus on the nameplate is even more powerful. There have been countless changes inside and out and even mechanical modifications to improve off-road mobility are among them. The built-in body kit consists of a new front bumper, there is a special radiator grille, an attachment for the bonnet and also the rear apron, the spoiler lip for the tailgate and the paneling around the taillights are part of the body kit. The highlight of the aerodynamic parts are definitely the fender flares all around and the distinctive roof attachment with additional lights. Small details such as the carbon mirror caps, the individual fuel filler cap, the steps for easier entry or the foiling in the rear area round off the visual changes to the body impressively.

Radar Renegade RT + POR 118Q off-road tires

Incidentally, Pickup Design has put the X-Class on 18-inch beadlock alloy wheels that are equipped with 33-inch Radar Renegade RT + POR 118Q tires and look particularly solid due to the 10 cm height increase. The underbody is protected with a special underride guard including Carlex lettering and the tuner built a black sports bar on the loading surface, which can be expanded with bicycle racks, for example, if desired. And as far as we know, a sports exhaust system is also installed on this vehicle. However, we are not quite sure, because it could just be fake tailpipes. We have already seen both on Carlex vehicles.

lots of black leather and Alcantara in the interior

And the cab of the X-Class has been modified to a similar extent. Here Carlex relies on tons of black leather and Alcantara on the seats, the dashboard and the door panels. There is also a multitude of bright yellow accents and a particularly high-quality sports steering wheel that would easily fit in an AMG GT R. In particular, the small details such as the Carlex embossing on the headrests, the carbon trim and the color-coordinated seams make the interior unique. It is all the more sad that the X-Class will soon only be available as a used car. If we receive timely information on further changes not previously mentioned, there is of course an update for this report.
