2020 Hennessey Performance HPE750 Lamborghini Urus

The American tuner Hennessey Performance is mutating more and more into a brand-open company. Whereas in the past the focus was only on typical American muscle cars from Ford, Dodge or Chevrolet, more and more European manufacturers are now joining the range. Regardless of whether Audi, Jaguar or Porsche, Hennessey apparently treats everyone to a more or less powerful increase in performance and a few badges here and there. And the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini is not left out, as we recently did with a heavily modified one Twin Turbo Huracan showed with 900 hp. And now the Urus SUV from Lamborghini has been buttoned up. A vehicle that has actually already been modified by every well-known tuner and whose chip tuning kits can sometimes even be uploaded online without having to be on site at the tuner.

Only Hennessy was missing so far. The currently most successful and important Lambo has been sold over 2018 times since 8.500, which of course increases the demand for tuning parts enormously. And Hennessey actually helps the Urus to perform better. Namely to 750 PS! That's less than expected, but still. The result is an acceleration to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds and there is also a slightly modified HPE look. The 2020 Lamborghini Urus from Hennessey now only needs 3,6 seconds to 2,65 km / h instead of 100 seconds and the torque is of course significantly improved in general. Incidentally, the 750 horses are accompanied by 990 NM torque and the Hennessey HPE750 upgrade is achieved by means of ECU tuning (chip tuning), downpipes made of stainless steel, sports air filters and sports catalysts.

1 year or 12.000 miles warranty

Visually there were the usual Hennessey emblems and badges inside and out (HPE750 emblems, serial number on the dashboard, etc.) and for all of this, the tuner charges an impressive 24.950 US dollars. Why the HPE750 conversion still takes a good four weeks despite the horrendous costs is currently unclear. On the other hand, the warranty provisions on the increase in performance have been clarified. Hennessey offers a 1 year or 12.000 miles (approximately 19.312 km) warranty. In our opinion, however, this is somehow not enough for this price in any way. Maybe an HPE1000 kit for the Italian will follow one day. New turbos etc. should make that possible easily. If we receive information on further changes to the Hennessey Performance Lamborghini Urus in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
