The 12th special edition of Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing celebrates its world premiere: Mercedes-AMG and the Cigarette Racing Team continue their longstanding collaboration and design unique performers for land and water. Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing present the new 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition at the Miami International Boat Show. The high-performance boot 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition, jointly designed by Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing, is the twelfth special edition in the context of the long-term strategic cooperation. In addition, the special model Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition was presented in Miami, which was individualized in the AMG Performance Studio in Affalterbach, based on the same design principles as the boat.
Mercedes AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition
As the latest representative of an exclusive series of special editions, the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition sets new standards in terms of performance and design and creates a perfect balance between luxury yacht and high-performance boat. Despite its length of 59 feet (approx. 18 meters) and a fuselage width of 14 feet (4,2 meters), the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition is extremely agile and optimized for maximum performance. The team at Cigarette Racing was looking for the best solution for every detail when developing its new performance flagship. One key to this is lightweight construction: the inclined hardtop is made entirely of carbon fiber, which lowers the center of gravity and ensures better handling on the water. Carbon fiber is used in the entire deck structure, for example in the carbon-reinforced stringers and the transom. The hull and deck were created using a vacuum infusion process from an optimized composite laminate with a PVC core. The instrument console has a nano-coated, anti-reflective and heat-resistant surface with connecting elements made of titanium.

The striking design of the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition results from the close collaboration between the Cigarette Racing Team, the Mercedes-AMG Design Team and Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Daimler AG. “Mercedes-AMG stands for Performance Luxury. The 'Tirranna AMG Edition' is the perfect transfer of this principle to a boat: its dynamic and deeply sensual proportions embody athletic beauty. High performance on the water
The 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition has six supercharged 4,6-liter V8 Mercury Racing 450R outboard motors, each with an output of up to 450 hp on the drive shaft. The total output of the engines is 2.700 hp and enables a top speed of almost 130 km / h. This is impressive performance for a boat of this size that can accommodate up to 26 people and combines the ease of use of a center console boat with the style, space and performance of a luxury sports yacht. Thanks to well thought-out technical details, the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition is extremely user-friendly. For example, it has a special gyroscopic stabilizer that reduces the boat's rolling motion by 80% - a great advantage if the boat lies in rough water or wants to go alongside a larger yacht. Bow and stern thrusters also make mooring exceptionally easy for a boat of this size.
Distinctive design
The eye-catcher of the boat is the paint in black metallic with AMG diamond pattern in gold. As in the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition, the interior of the cabin is kept in a Mediterranean color combination of macchiato beige and dark blue. The material and workmanship also testify to the love of detail below deck: in the spacious seating area there is a cupboard with a cooling compartment, additional storage space and a television. In the bow there is a California king-size bed and a spacious bathroom with a separate shower. The upholstery of the cabin is made of high quality leather by hand. The upholstery fabrics on the upper deck can reflect up to 30% of the heat, allowing a darker color selection while maintaining a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere. A special detail is the handrail made of rounded stainless steel, which extends over the entire length of the boat. On each side of the boat, three windows open up to the sea. Skylights in the hardtop and cabin ceiling, which can be darkened via panels, provide additional light and a spacious feeling.
The entertainment system Cigarette Pure Plus was developed in collaboration with JL Audio Marine: With 29 speakers, the 5.200-watt sound system offers exceptional sound quality anywhere on board. Aft invites a summer kitchen with grill, sink, work surface and storage space for outdoor cooking. In the back of the hardtop there is an approximately two meter large electrically extendable sun sail that provides shade for the entire aft deck. The two seating areas in the rear part of the boat can be electrically connected to form a large sun lounger. Extendable dining tables are located in the front part of the boat. Another highlight is the digital operating system of the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition: Numerous functions can be conveniently controlled anywhere on board using an iPad, from lighting at the wheel to air conditioning in the cabin to monitoring the bilge pumps. The RGB lighting system along the railing can also be controlled via an app on the chart plotter, so that the boat is immersed in various lighting scenes at the push of a button. Last but not least, the digital control system reduces the need for cables and thus reduces the overall weight of the boat.
Driving performance on land
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 offers outstanding driving characteristics on and off paved roads. The basis for the typical AMG driving performance is the 430 kW (585 hp) 4,0-liter V8 biturbo engine and the rear-wheel-drive all-wheel drive (40:60) with three differential locks. The AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive adjustable damping works fully automatically and electronically controlled. It continuously adjusts the damping on each wheel to the current requirements and thus supports the superior driving characteristics of the Mercedes-AMG G 63. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition presented at the Miami International Boat Show offers thanks to the particularly complex customization by the AMG Performance studio in Affalterbach highest exclusivity. With unique equipment and its extraordinary design, it becomes a symbol of the long-standing collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing Team.
The exclusive exterior design in black metallic with a golden AMG diamond pattern comes from the experts from the AMG Performance Studio. The 22-inch forged wheels in cross-spoke design have gold accents on the wheel hubs and the rim flanges. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Cigarette Edition is equipped with the AMG Night package, in addition there is a dark chrome-plated AMG radiator grille, front protection bar and side entry boards in matt black and vehicle logos in high-gloss black. For the G 63 Cigarette Edition, the common design language is also continued for the first time in the interior and executed in two-tone nappa leather in macchiato beige and deep sea blue. The AMG performance steering wheel made of carbon fiber in dark blue nappa leather also refers to the 59 'Tirranna AMG Edition. The cigarette lettering can be found on the floor mats and the iconic G-Class grab handles.
