It was less than three weeks ago that ABT Sportsline announced the lifted VW T6.1 to push on 226 PS & 450 NM and to 20 incher to deliver. And now there is already another upgrade that the perennial favorite ABT Sportsline body kit tailored to the lifted body. In addition, this vehicle is also equipped with an increase in performance and of course an ABT Sportsline forged wheel set. But we come to the "aero package" that will be available for the T6.1 from March this year. The aerodynamic parts are made of PU rim and the sporty front apron attachment and the attachment for the radiator grille are particularly striking. In combination with the trim strips painted in the vehicle color in the apron as well as the grill and the small ABT emblem, the visual appearance is significantly sportier, which is also continued in the side view.

Additional side skirts are installed here and the aforementioned 9 x 20 inch ABT GR forged deal in glossy black with diamond-machined rim flange does the rest. The DR variant in 8,5 x 19 inch and a “mystic black” finish is optionally available. No matter which variant you choose, in our opinion lowering is always part of it. Here you either have a complete coilover suspension from Bilstein ready for lowering between 40 and 70 mm on the front and rear axles, but alternatively there are also special suspension springs that will soon be added to the range. And the rear view can also be changed significantly if desired. At the rear, the "Aeropackage" from ABT Sportsline with a rear apron set and four glossy black tailpipe trims as well as a rear wing ensures an equally sporty appearance as at the front.

And as already mentioned, a performance upgrade is also available. For the 150 PS and 340 Newton meter strong 2.0 TDI, the ABT Engine Control (AEC) control unit goes up to 180 PS and 400 Newton meters and the top version with bi-turbocharger and 199 PS & 450 NM reaches an impressive 226 PS after the upgrade & 490 Nm. And it is very likely that the AEC module will also be made suitable for the smaller expansion stages of the VW EA288 four-cylinder with 90 hp and 110 hp. If we receive timely information on further changes to the 2020 ABT T6, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
