2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye with 808 PS!

Coinciding with the 818 hp Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock Dodge has also presented the 808 PS & 958 NM torque 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye! According to Dodge, it is currently the most powerful and fastest sedan in the world. It also has a wide body kit all around with fat fender flares for an additional width of 3,5 inches (approx. 9 cm) and is available on 20 × 11 inch Lightweight Carbon Black rims with Pirelli 305 / 35ZR20 tires. Visually, the new model has a newly designed, functional bonnet, which gives the Charger SRT Hellcat models a darker look. Dodge says: "The magic of the Dodge Charger is that it delivers the performance of a real American muscle car, but at the same time it can transport a family of four or five every day". The Charger is a limousine for a maximum of 5 people that completes the quarter mile with a time of 10, sprints from 0-60 miles per hour (approx. 97 km / h) in approx. 3 seconds and has a top speed of 203 miles per hour ( approx. 327 km / h).

808 PS & 958 NM torque

The Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is about 1,2 seconds faster than the Charger SRT Hellcat on a 2,1-mile route, which corresponds to about 7 vehicle lengths after one lap. Orders for the 2021 Dodge Charger models, including the new SRT Hellcat Redeye, will be possible from autumn. The vehicles should then arrive at the dealers in early 2021. The heart of the new Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye comes of course from the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon of the limited production. The supercharged 6,2-liter HEMI® high-performance V8 delivers insane 808 PS & 958 NM torque (797 HP and 707 lb.-ft.) coupled to a TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic. Like the Demon brothers, the engine of the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye has received more than 25 upgrades such as a larger 2,7-liter compressor, reinforced connecting rods and pistons, a new injection system and improved oil lubrication. The speed limit increases to 6.500 rpm compared to the 6.200 rpm of the predecessor, but at full throttle the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye still consumes a good 5,4 liters "per minute" so that the tank would be empty in just under 11 minutes.

Incidentally, the apron of the Charger SRT Hellcat widebody contains the so-called mail slot grille that shovels additional cool air into the cooler to enable the ideal operating temperature even under the hottest conditions. There were matching side skirts and the rear apron with the integrated sports exhaust system on the right and left as well as the small spoiler lip on the tailgate testify to a lot of dynamism and power. Like the Challenger, the Charger also has the SRT Power Chiller ™ System (Air of the climate lowers the intake air temperature and leads to improved performance) and the Race Cooldown System is also installed. It helps the engine to maintain the optimal operating temperature at all times. When the charger is turned off, the Race Cooldown function keeps the V8 fan and the coolant pump in operation to lower the temperature of the charger / intercooler. Other important features of the 2021 model are the Adaptive Damping Suspension (Bilstein suspension with three modes - car mode, sport mode, track mode), a Brembo brake system with two-part 15,7-inch discs and 6-piston calipers at the front, electric power steering (EPS), a start assistant (reduces the load on the drive train when starting on the quarter mile by up to 20%) and in the interior, of course, the new 8,4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, which can even be used to indicate when the compressor is ready for a new racetrack.

Leather, carbon and Alcantara in a mix

In addition to the technology, the cabin also impresses with a standard Laguna leather interior with embossed SRT Hellcat logos and the Alcantara Appearance Package extends the leather interior with lots of Alcantara components if required. The Carbon & Suede package with Dinamica suede components, for example on the A-pillars or the sun visors, is also available for the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, SRT Hellcat, Charger Scat Pack and Charger R / T models. Those interested in charging can choose from a selection of 13 paint finishes, various stripes and many customizations for the cabin. Dodge wants to become a pure performance brand in 2021 and the Hellcat SRT versions with some well over 700 hp help immensely.
