The Japanese brand Isuzu has almost fallen into oblivion in Europe. Only with that D-Max pickup the manufacturer is still represented in this country. The Japanese are now concentrating on the production of larger truck models, which is why the car division is virtually non-existent on the world market. However, exceptions prove the rule and so the D-Max continues to fly the flag of the once popular brand. Today we present to you a specimen that is native to China and has been transformed by its owner into a "real" roader, was rebuilt.

Rally-ready off-road pickup!

The first thing you notice is that the vehicle is a Höherlegung been subjected to better performance off-road. This is 2 inches (approx. 5 cm) and paired with the Kenda Klever A/T tires in the format 265/70 R17, the digs Koloss effortlessly through mud and mud. the Off-road rims with red accents that are 17 inches in diameter add a cool touch to the car. Furthermore, the Isuzu got a completely new front design including a heavily revised hood.

The hood looks much more aggressive with a large fake air scoop and fake air intakes and is reminiscent of various desert racers that take part in the Baja 1000 in California, for example. One winch, additional lights in the lower area from the grill as well fender flares made of robust hard plastic are also on board, as are special LED headlights that serve as position lights. An underride guard at the front is also installed to further increase off-road capability. The vehicle is thus prepared for the next expedition off the beaten track.

Hands were also put on in the interior!

The decorative parts made of imitation carbon around the shift lever and on the center console, which are intended to suggest sportiness in the cockpit, are immediately visible. For this purpose, several loudspeakers and power amplifiers were installed on the A-pillars. There is also a subwoofer in the car. Unfortunately, we don't know whether the sound quality lives up to what the sound system's equipment promises.

A 1,9-liter turbo diesel with four cylinders provides propulsion.

In the bow, a turbo diesel with a displacement of 1,9 liters does its work, which generates 163 PS & 360 Newton meters of maximum torque. The unit is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission, and as befits a true old-school off-roader, the car has switchable four-wheel drive. In the 2WD position, only the rear wheels are driven. A cool pickup that should also find many fans in this country. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
