From the tuner Hennessey Performance there is news about the new Ford F-150 Raptor R. The tuner pimps the sports pick-up with a Shelby engine and, among other things, gives it a portion of additional power. In addition to the Ram 1500 TRX pickup, the tuner from Texas has another "toy" with a loading area at the start. However, it is currently not known whether two or three axles, several three- or four-digit performance values, an SUV rear or a camping body, as with the TRX, will be used here. But the fact is that this flatbed truck is also missed Hennessey on request a lot of tuning parts. The basis is the 5,2-liter V8 codenamed "Predator", which has a 2,65-liter supercharger and also provides propulsion in the Shelby Mustang GT500. In the top model of the F-150, it delivers 710 hp and a maximum torque of 868 Newton meters.

Although Hennessey is still in the middle of development with regard to the increase in performance, the fact that the Velociraptor 1000 should receive almost 1.000 brake horsepower (1.014 DIN PS) and a torque of 1.152 Newton meters seems to have already been decided. And how do you achieve that? Primarily by one compressor exchange to a variant with 3,8 liters and a better belt. There is also an optimized one air intake, larger injectors, there is an improved one Fuel Supply and of course an in-house chip tuning software. And if that's still not enough, there might even be room for improvement. As is well known, Hennessey has performance increases for the Shelby GT 500 up to 1.217 PS Releases.
However, since the Raptor R comes with more robust parts than high-tech components in the V8 engine, the maximum should not quite go into the Venom 1200 range. But an "edition" with a bit of room for improvement will surely come one day in the Hennessey Velociraptor 1000. And visually? The tuner installs the "usual" components that are intended to improve the off-road mobility of the F-150 Raptor R in particular. So there are new aprons in front and behind (in front with LED auxiliary lights, cow catcher, "Velociraptor" lettering) and in the wheel arches of the Hennessey Velociraptor 1000, 20-inch alloy wheels rotate in conjunction with 37-inch (0,94 m) large ones Off-road tires.

There is also a special decor and various plaques inside and outside are missing on the 2023 Ford F-150 VelociRaptoR 1000 not. According to their own statement, they want to start production of the Velociraptor 1000 in the first quarter of 2023 and deliver the first vehicles a short time later.
