Trabbi tuning: 270 hp in the Trabant 601s 4 × 4 "Turbo"!

Today we present you a tuned Trabant 601s (better known as Trabbi). Incidentally, after almost 10.000 tuning contributions, it is the first Trabant to be presented on tuningblog.eu, and what a! The car was not refined by a special tuning team, but received hundreds of hours of manual work by a private tuning fan in Poland. We found the story about the car on autoforum.cz, where the car is said to be based on a Trabant 1.1. I'm not so sure about that, because the 1.1 with the 1,1 liter VW Polo engine and 30KW/40PS had a different design in my opinion, especially on the taillights and the bumpers. And the Trabant 601s lettering wouldn't make any sense either. But it doesn't matter whether it's 1.1 or 601s...

Trabbi tuning with 270 PS & 369 NM

The crazy conversion is impressive across the board. Not only that a powerful Audi TT 1.8T turbo engine with an increase in output to a good 270 hp is now at work in the Trabbi, but the fact that the car has all-wheel drive and even working ABS & ESP is at least as impressive. Hats off to such a technical feat. The Trabbi is also visually excellent. A beautiful metallic finish underlines the elaborate body work with the conspicuous intercooler installed in the front and the crosshair headlights, as we also see them on the VW Golf I & II or modern ones Kahn Design Land Rover Defender know vehicles. We already know a few details about tuning and the installed parts on the Trabant 601s. What we were able to find out, we have listed below for you in a summary.
