This beautiful one W113 (Pagoda) with its timeless design is different from what you think at first glance. Because under the sheet metal it no longer has much to do with the SL built from 1963 to 1971. And, as is well known, there were fewer than 49.000 times. None the three in-line six-cylinder with up to 168 hp is installed under the long hood. The 1969 copy is currently being used by Tomini Classics sold and is completely by the team of mechatronics rebuilt. The company "Mechatronik" is what for Mercedes-Benz vehicles Singer for Porsche is. And thanks to mechatronics, the open classic now has one V8 from the AMG shelf with rich 340 PS under the hood. Specifically, it is the M113 eight-cylinder with three-valve technology and double ignition, which was introduced in September 1997 in the Mercedes E-Class of the W 210 series.

But it was also at home in the C43 AMG of the W202 generation (W / S 202). That was the first C-Class with a V8. It delivered as standard 306 PS and 410 Nm torque from 3.250 to 5.000 revolutions per minute. Tomini Classics speaks of an achievement of 340 PSwhat possibly to a performance increase is due. But we don't know for sure!

What we know: The Mercedes specialist north of Stuttgart builds around ten restomods a year with an incredible love of detail and they are currently working on one SL (R107) Restomod. Yes, back to the 280 SL. The vehicle is elegant in White varnished and enjoys black accents (Rims, grille, aprons, windshield frame, trim all around, sill area, rearview mirror, headlight frame, etc.). As a contrast, the lids of the rims are also in White painted and in the cabin shows a high quality Leather seats, which of course also in Black and white hence comes.

$ 375.000 is due

And since the conversion, the vehicle seems to have only run 719 kilometers. At least that's what they show VDO instruments at. And even in the trunk has mechatronics in the form of some extras like one Leather strap with all the details leave its mark on the vehicle. Other highlights of the SL are an improved one Suspension, a revised Bremsanlage, there was a new one Steering gear, a Air conditioning and a few minor changes. As expected, the SL has its price. And that is 375.000 US Dollars. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
